Britannia Royal Naval College , commonly known as Dartmouth, is the naval academy of the United Kingdom and the initial officer training establishment of the British Royal Navy. It is located on a hill overlooking the port of Dartmouth, Devon, England. Royal Naval officer training has taken place in Dartmouth since 1863. The buildings of the current campus were completed in 1905. Earlier students lived in two wooden hulks moored in the River Dart. Since 1998, BRNC has been the sole centre for Royal Naval officer training.

The Authority was formed in 1976 from the merger of the River Dart Navigation Commission and the Dart Harbour Commission which had been established in the 1880s. It was constituted under the Dart Harbour and Navigation Authority Act 1975, and The Dart Harbour and Navigation Harbour Revision Order 2002.Dart Harbour's navigation marks are inspected annually by Trinity House.Dart Harbour maintains some 270 pontoons and 1600 moorings within the harbour limits.

    The Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta is a regatta in the English county of Devon. The first recorded regatta was in 1822 and the regatta was formally established in 1834. It is based on the River Dart, in the town of Dartmouth, and the village of Kingswear opposite. The regatta takes place over the Thursday, Friday and Saturday where the Friday is the last Friday in August. The regatta is formally opened on the preceding Wednesday evening, although as the regatta has grown, some events start as early as the weekend before. The regatta is organised by a committee appointed at a public meeting each year called by Dartmouth Town Council. Many other organisations are involved in running events under the auspices of the Regatta Committee.

    This is a list of beagle, harrier and basset hounds packs of the United Kingdom, registered with either the Association of Masters of Harriers and Beagles, or the Masters of Basset Hounds Association. Prior to the 2004 Hunting Act, these packs either hunted hare, or in the case of some harrier packs, foxes. Hunts are now obliged to either practice trail hunting, hunt rabbits or follow other exemptions set out in the Act. There are 59 beagle packs and 19 harrier packs in the UK registered with the AMHB.     Paignton Zoo Environmental Park, is a zoo in Paignton, Devon, England. The zoo is part of South West Environmental Parks Ltd which is owned by the Whitley Wildlife Conservation Trust . It is a combined zoo and botanic garden that welcomes over half a million visitors a year. WWCT also runs Living Coasts in Torquay, Devon and Newquay Zoo in Newquay, Cornwall. All three are registered charities. Paignton Zoo has a collection of about 2,000 animals representing nearly 300 species. It also cultivates about 1,600 different species of plant.
