In Memoriam Saphir 17
Flying friends taped me flying. Footage from spring 2007.
Locations: Ölberg, Planai, Bischling.
Too soon I sold this very lovely bird.
Dear spectators, to set You in the postion to share my laughter,
here is the transcription of the text and chatter in this clip:
Singer: ... Friday´s child, never climbed no mountain.
buddy: Patrick, look up there...
(for sure that guy with his dino-wing is going to crash).
Singer: Friday´s child, she ain´t even gonna try...
buddy: ... have a good flight !
Singer: I´ve been where the eagle flies (Planai, Ennstal, Austria in this case),
rode his wings ´cross all them skies.
kissed the sun, touched the moon,
but he left me much to soon, his Lady Bird.
He left his Lady Bird !
Singer: Lady Bird come on down, I´m here waiting on the ground.
Lady Bird I´ll treat You good...
buddy: Ahm, I´d like to have a Cola light, please, a big one...
Singer: ... Lady Bird, pretty Lady Bird...
buddy: Wow, how many hours is he now flying ?
buddy: No, he took the cable car a second time.
buddy: Ohu, really ?
Singer: ... he tought me how to fly.
the sun came up and then I found,
to soon he layed his Lady down, his Lady Bird...
(Basically I´m falling out of the sky with 5 m/sec during this landing approach,
as the ground is situated in the bare Lee side of the mountain to the right.)
Singer: Lady Bird come on down, I´m here waiting on the ground.
Lady Bird I´ll treat You good...
buddy: So, now let´s hope the wind won´t turn ...
buddy: Ouh, he´s coming in high...
Singer: (quiets for the fiddle solo)
buddy: Ooh, now I´ve seen three landings from him, all of them perfect :-)
Singer: And then I go and spoil it all by saying something
stupid, like ... ...
