Since the time our children were born, we have always strived to follow natural and biological nutrition. When I got the chance to take over our family farm Bergerhof, it was clear from the beginning that I wanted to convert it to organic agriculture. For us it is not purely a medical matter, but one of pleasure. We have found that organic food has a better taste and is better for you; for this reason we use exclusively biological foods. The hotel was not restructured, but we had the possibility to completely construct it new according to a biological concept. We are very proud of our rooms, all completely constructed in wood, just like the entire structure of the hotel. All the furniture is in non-treated wood. Our guests really appreciate our fresh products that arrive from our farm directly in the kitchen or onto the buffet table at breakfast. Often we collect products in the morning that will be eaten for lunch and dinner. In our kitchen all the food is prepared on the spot without using any microwave ovens, because we want to maintain the freshness of our products. As knowledgeable wine lovers, we place great value in our wine cellar that has more than 100 labels. My son Ingo selects the best wines from South Tyrol, Italy and Europe for our guests. We are a wellness hotel and for us the concept of wellness does not only refer to the treatments that take place in our wellness centre. Wellness is a much broader concept. A concept that finds its place in the pool, the sauna, but also in all the outdoor activities, the morning exercises, the excursions and guided tours: all of this enters into the concept of wellness. It has been five years since the creation of our hotel. We are very pleased we have always been able to satisfy our guests and it makes us happy to work for them. It is our most sincere hope that we can continue like this into the future.
