Groot-Ammers is a town in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Molenwaard, and is located about 13 km southeast of Gouda on the southside of the Lek River. In 2001, the town of Groot-Ammers had 2822 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.56 km², and contained 1059 residences. The statistical area Groot-Ammers, which also includes the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 3100.

1. Zuiderzee Museum (Zuiderzeemuseum) Enkhuizen
The Zuiderzee Museum, located on Wierdijk in the historic center of Enkhuizen, is a Dutch museum devoted to preserving the cultural heritage and maritime history from the old Zuiderzee region. With the closing of the Afsluitdijk on May 28, 1932, the Zuiderzee was split in two parts: the waters below the Afsluitdijk are now called the IJsselmeer, while the waters north of it are called the Waddenzee.

In Schoonhoven, people have worked with silver since the 14th century. In more than 700 years, Schoonhoven has grown to become the 'Creative Silver town on the Lek River'. To this very day, Schoonhoven goldsmiths and silversmiths make traditional as well as modern jewellery and utensils.
