Keukenhof , also known as the Garden of Europe, is one of the world's largest flower gardens, situated in Lisse, South Holland, Netherlands. According to the official website for the Keukenhof Park, approximately 7 million flower bulbs are planted annually in the park, which covers an area of 32 hectares .Keukenhof is located in South Holland, south of Haarlem and southwest of Amsterdam. It is accessible by bus from the train stations of Haarlem, Leiden and Schiphol. It is located in an area called the Dune and Bulb Region . Keukenhof is open annually from mid-March to mid-May. The best time to view the tulips is around mid-April, depending on the weather.

In August 2017, the municipality had a population of 155,089, making it the second-largest of the province and fifteenth-largest of the country. Amersfoort is also one of the largest Dutch railway junctions with its three stations—Amersfoort, Schothorst and Vathorst—due to its location on two of the Netherlands' main east to west and north to south railway lines. Anthropology of the Dutch: The people from Tuindorp

The pigeonhole man studies life in Tuindorp Oostzaan, a private community in Amsterdam North. Once this community was conceived and built as a walhalla among the metropolitan labor areas; 'fruit of struggle and ideals' made by down to the core socialists, 'that made possible what was not possible'. Here there were no ruins but human dignified houses with a large garden in an ordered village, where the worker could live happily. The people from Tuindorp ate there, slept there, worked hard work in shipbuilding there. But times changed; the shipyards went bankrupt. The workers became more self-directed, poverty and facilities disappeared from the district. Slowly the village was swallowed up by the big city. Still, the village remains pleasant in an old school way and its inhabitants are still looking out for each other. But now come the invaders: the yuppies, that do not say hello and do not adhere to the unwritten rules.
