TOKYU HANDS Ikebukuro | Tokyo Stationery Store Tour - 東急ハンズ池袋店

3. Don Quijote / DONKI
4. LoFT Ikebukuro
5. Sanrio Gift Gate
6. Tokyu Hands Ikebukuro
7. Okashi Machioka (more affordable Japanese snacks. great for hoarding souvenirs!)
8. Maidreamin (maid cafe) / Rabbit Cafe
9. Sweetie Nail (Nail Salon)

The Best Bowls of Ramen EVER | Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum
Ramen is everywhere in Tokyo and all of Japan. It is a massive food culture here. If you are visiting Japan for a holiday you will most likely wanna try this beautiful noodle soup. But which do you choose? There are so many different types and styles: Shoyu, Shio, Miso, Tonkotsu! The shin yokohama has a selection of the best ramen from not only around tokyo but also around the whole world.
Definitely one of our biggest recommendation is the shin yokohama ramen museum as the price is so low and the amount of ramen they offer allows you to try so many different styles of ramen that you cant get anywhere else, or that you might not find elsewhere.

☆Bits of knowledge〜Oshino Hakkai 〜
Oshino Hakkai (忍野八海) is a touristy set of eight ponds in Oshino, a small village in the Fuji Five Lake region, located between Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako on the site of a former sixth lake that dried out several hundred years ago. The eight ponds are fed by snow melt from the slopes of nearby Mount Fuji that filters down the mountain through porous layers of lava for over 80 years, resulting in very clear spring water that is revered by the locals.
Next to one pond, visitors can drink the cool water straight from the source. The ponds are quite deep and have interesting freshwater plant life and large fish that make a visit to the ponds almost like visiting an aquarium. Although the ponds have been developed into tourist attractions and can become quite crowded with visitors, they have a pleasant atmosphere as long as you do not expect untouched nature. Not many people know, however, that the park also boasts three shrines. The most famous is the Toshogu Shrine, one of some 200 around the country dedicated to the spirit of Tokugawa Ieyasu (1543-1616). The shogun was deified after his death as Tosho Daigongen (Great Avatar of the Shining East). The shrine was originally built in 1627 by a Tokugawa follower, but was rebuilt in grander style in 1651 by the third Tokugawa shogun, Iemitsu, who glorified his grandfather.

☆Bits of knowledge〜〜Soba
Soba (そば) noodles are noodles made of buckwheat flour, roughly as thick as spaghetti, and prepared in various hot and cold dishes. Soba dishes are very popular and easily available nationwide. As 100% buckwheat soba noodles tend to be brittle, many restaurants add some wheat flour when preparing their noodles. Depending on the shop, the percentage of buckwheat flour in soba noodles typically ranges between 40% and 100%.

☆Bits of knowledge〜Don-Quijote〜
This time I’m gonna share with you one of my favorite places to shop in Japan. Donki or Don-Quijote is a big discount chain store in Japan that sells almost EVERYTHING with a great deal!!
Starting from food, snacks, cosmetic, souvenirs, cooking ingredients, cosplay costume, fashion items, electronic, travel items, etc THEY HAVE IT ALL!!
I got so many questions about where is the best place to buy Japanese snacks, souvenirs, make up and basically anything with the best price in Japan. That is pretty much the same question I used to ask myself while planning for my first trip to Japan last year and well now I have the answer for that question, Donki or Don-Quijote.
Don Quijote has over 160 outlets throughout Japan including Tokyo, most of the stores are open until late or even open for 24 hours. There are two Don Quijote outlets AnakJajan have visited, Asakusa and Akihabara.

THE BEST RAMEN!! Yoshimuraya Ramen in Yokohama
Yoshimuraya in Yokohama is by far one of the best tonkotsu ramen places in Yokohama. Tyler decided to take us to one of his favorite kind of ramen places. Definitely worth checking out in Yokohama. Just be warned it usually has pretty long lines so prepare for that.
