Thus the park was considered a gift from the Emperor to the general public.

8. Mt. Takao Hachioji
Mount Takao is a mountain in the city of Hachiōji, Tokyo, Japan. It is protected within Meiji no Mori Takao Quasi-National Park. Standing 599 metres tall and located within an hour of downtown Tokyo, it is a popular hiking spot, with eight hiking courses and more than 2.5 million annual visitors. The Tama Forest Science Garden is also located at the mountain's base. Mount Takao is closely associated with the Shinto-Buddhist tengu, minor kami from Japanese folklore, and the daitengu Naigubu. The mountain is also renowned for Shugendō, the mountain asceticism focusing on strict discipline. A Buddhist temple, Takaosan Yakuōin Yūkiji, is located on the mountain, and attracts many visitors who pray to the tengu for good fortune. The temple belongs to the Shingon Buddhist sect.

Opened on December 7, 1990, the theme park is run by the Sanrio company, and hosts various musicals, restaurants, attractions, and theme rides using popular characters such as Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Jewelpet, and many more. While many of these attractions are only in Japanese, Puroland attracts many visitors from overseas because of the worldwide popularity of these characters. 35th CSSB Mission Readiness Exercise, Sagami General Depot, Japan, 2016

The 35th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion conducted an exercise at Sagami General Depot March 1-4 in preparation for a duty assignment to the Joint Readiness Training Center in Fort Polk, La., later this year. Assisted by the 10th Support Group (Regional), Ammunition Depot, Okinawa, the two units worked together to form a TOC, or Tactical Operations Command, where they went through the motions in real time of what it was like to operate in a deployed environment.
