Jaén is a city in south-central Spain. The name is most likely derived from the Roman name Villa Gaiena , which the Arabs called Yayyan. It is the capital of the province of Jaén, and is located in the autonomous community of Andalusia. The inhabitants of the city are known as Jiennenses. Its population is 116,731 , about one-sixth of the population of the province. Recently Jaén has had a great increase in cultural tourism, having received 604,523 tourists along the year 2015, 10% more than in 2014.     The Arch of San Lorenzo in Jaén, Spain is located at the crossroads of the streets Almendros Aguilar and Madre de Dios . It is part of the former Church of San Lorenzo, built between the 13th and 14th centuries and its interior houses such treasures as Moorish tilework and paneling, as well as a small chapel. It is also home to an association called Amigos de San Antón . It was declared a Bien de Interés Cultural in 1877.
