Le Corbier is a ski resort located in the Les Sybelles region of the French Alps, it is the fourth largest ski area in France with 310 km linked by lifts and pistes. The longest run is 2.9 km. It has a mixture of all the coloured slopes and is 1550 metres above sea-level. There are 26 chair lifts in Le Corbier and 50 drag lifts, the highest lift is at 2600 m. There are number of hotels in Le Corbier which include: Hotel Du Mont Corbier; Residence Maeva Les Pistes; Odalys - Les Alpages du Corbier

1. Les Sybelles Le Corbier
Les Sybelles is a French linked ski area, located in the Savoie department in the Alps. It is one of the largest skiable domains in France. The resort was the home base of Jean-Pierre Vidal, winner of the gold medal in slalom at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. The ski station is also used regularly as the finish of cycle races including the Tour de France and the Critérium du Dauphiné.

Lake Serre-Ponçon is a reservoir in the departments of Hautes-Alpes and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, in southeast France, one of the largest in Western Europe. The lake gathers the waters of the Durance and the Ubaye rivers, flowing down through the Hautes-Alpes and the Alpes du Sud to the Rhône River. The waters are dammed by the Barrage de Serre-Ponçon, a 123-metre high earth core dam. As well as water control, sixteen hydroelectric plants use the water , and the lake provides irrigation to 1,500 square kilometres of land.

MadDogSki in La Rosiere

Team MadDogSki visited La Rosiere in the French Alps earlier this season for our annual team trip. Whilst we were obviously working the whole week (honestly), we also found time to play. Although less well known than neighbouring Val d’Isere, Tignes and La Plagne, it was easy to see why so many Brits just keep coming back here. At 1850m it’s pretty snow sure and with south-facing slopes it’s great for a little après ski deckchair lounging.
