Legnickie Pole [lɛɡˈnit͡skʲɛ ˈpɔlɛ] is a village in Legnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It is the seat of the administrative district called Gmina Legnickie Pole. It lies approximately 10 kilometres southeast of Legnica, and 56 kilometres west of the regional capital Wrocław. The village has a population of 780.

Czocha Castle is a defensive castle in the village of Czocha , Lubań County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in southwestern Poland. The castle is located on the Lake Leśnia, near the Kwisa river, in what is now the Polish part of Upper Lusatia. Czocha castle was built on gneiss rock, and its oldest part is the keep, to which housing structures were later added.

STORYLINE:
Poland has declared a three-day period of mourning, lowering all flags to half-mast, and a memorial mass was held on Sunday close to the Polish home city of some of the victims killed in a bush crash in the French Alps a day earlier.
Locals, friends and families attended a vigil in the town of Stargard Szczecinski, approximately 36 kilometres (22 miles) from Szczecin.
Most of the pilgrims were from around the city of Szczecin in northwestern Poland, near the German border.
We are all very saddened even though we didn't have anyone close to us in this tragedy, said a woman attending Sunday's mass.
It is a great tragedy. The only thing we can do is pray, said another man.
Meanwhile, families of the pilgrims arrived on Monday in Grenoble to identify some of the bodies.
French officials have said that 26 people died and 24 were injured, 14 seriously, all of them Roman Catholic pilgrims from Poland, when their bus plummeted into a ravine from a road where heavy trucks and buses are forbidden, and burst into flames.
Polish media reports that the death toll had risen to 27 could not be immediately confirmed.
The pilgrims had been returning from the Sanctuary of Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette, about 40 kilometres (25 miles) south of Grenoble, on Sunday morning.
Polish President Lech Kaczynski declared the period of national mourning in the early hours of Monday after returning from France, where he rushed to meet the injured along with French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
