    The Botanischer Garten Erlangen , also known as the Botanischer Garten der Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, is a botanical garden maintained by the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and located on the north side of the castle garden in the city center at Loschgestraße 3, Erlangen, Franconia, Germany. It is open daily except Monday. The garden's origins date back to 1626 when the hortus medicus was established in Altdorf bei Nürnberg. In 1747 the first botanical garden in Erlangen was established in front of the former Nürnberger Tor, and since 1828 the botanical garden has been established at its current location.     Fürth is a city in northern Bavaria, Germany, in the administrative division of Middle Franconia. It is now contiguous with the larger city of Nuremberg, the centres of the two cities being only 7 km apart. Fürth is one of 23 major centres in Bavaria. Fürth, Nuremberg, Erlangen and some smaller towns form the Middle Franconian Conurbation, which is one of the 11 German metropolitan regions.     Allersberg is a railway station situated at km 25.4 of the Nuremberg-Ingolstadt high-speed line. The station is situated about 3 km west of the Middle Franconian town Allersberg, adjacent to the A 9 motorway. Together with Kinding and Ingolstadt Nord it is one of three regional stations on the high-speed line. It was opened on December 6, 2006, connecting Allersberg to the rail network again 33 years after the closure of the Burgthann–Allersberg railway.
