Psychiatric Procedures in the Combat Area (US Army, 1944)
The psychiatric impact of war on soldiers is addressed, and the U.S. military's approach to helping affected soldiers is described. There are battle scenes, men awaiting evacuation from the front, and a rehabilitation center where the soldiers relax, exercise, and are reconditioned with battle training. Psychiatrists interview the men. A chronic anxiety case is shown, as well as an hysterical amnesia patient. The need for men to actively participate in their own recovery is stressed. At the end, recovered patients are shown at a neuro-psychiatric clearing station.

Il Sorriso Ritrovato - La Fattoria Burgentina
The Fattoria Burgentina is a multi-purpose social and educational center based on the model of social farms.
Since 2002, it received, in daytime system, 12 disabled people living in Agri-Melandro area with impaired autonomy in some elementary functions, providing so a socio-educational service integrating the basic social services active in the area.
The Fattoria Burgentina is a former country school, wide about 150 square meters and located in the district of Brienza Braide, with an acre and a half of arable land, a small soccer field and a portion of the forest.
The workers of the Fattoria Burgentina, Giovanni, Enrica and Enza, working every day with love and dedication to try to facilitate the process of growth and social integration of the center's guests, providing them with the opportunity to develop and improve their skills, with the 'ultimate goal of a reintegration to the work.
In most cases, the guests present a cognitive delay which distorts the perception of reality. That's why they have a great difficulty in the social integration. Instead they have no particular motor disability.
For this reason, visiting the Fattoria Burgentina, it is easy to find Antonio, Rosaria and other guests of the center facing the beekeeping or the planting and harvesting of fruits and vegetables, working behind the stove to bake a cake, or maybe , manipulating the clay or engaged in the theater workshop.
The activities start from the fundamental concepts of development and free expression of the self, a choice due to the desire to interpret the Fattoria Burgentina as a place of creation of the social self, linked to the concepts of utility and self-esteem of the person.
