Punkalaidun is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Pirkanmaa region. The municipality has a population of 2,954 and covers an area of 364.02 square kilometres of which 2.95 km2 is water. The population density is 8.18 inhabitants per square kilometre . Neighbouring municipalities are Huittinen, Humppila, Loimaa, Urjala, and Sastamala. The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
