The Costa Blanca, or White Coast, is one of Spain’s most popular tourist destinations. The region extends 200 kilometres along the Mediterranean coast through the province of Alicante, stretching from Gandia to Torrevieja.

Ciudad Quesada - Golf resort with stunning views
Ciudad Quesada is located approximately 8 kilometres inland from the Costa Blanca at Guardamar de la Segura.
It is only 10 minutes of the beaches of Torrevieja, but in the town itself there are many leisure activities to enjoy, such as golf, and you can sample international cuisine in the restaurants that line the town. You can also visit the salt marshes, which are a national park.
Alicante and Murcia airports are both 50 kilometres away and the nearest beach is within 10 minutes drive.
Spanish property market predictions 2019
OUR RESIDENT COSTA BLANCA property expert Shelley Starkey considers the year ahead for the Spanish property market. Will prices go up or down this year? Where´s the best place to buy in 2019? And how is the market evolving?
Sales transactions broke records just half-way through the year, with 53,359 homes in Spain acquired by overseas buyers in the first six months of 2018. A number that dwarfed the 33,000 sales recorded in the first half of 2007 when the Spanish property market was at its peak.
The latest available data shows house prices rose by 5.6% in November, with prices along the Mediterranean coastal areas faring somewhat better, with an average 7.8% increase in house prices compared with the same period last year.
The Costa Blanca property market in particular has proven ardently robust since 2016, enjoying three years of consistent and stable growth. But will that resilience persist over the coming year? Our Managing Director, Alexander Pichlmayr, spoke with our local property expert, Shelley Starkey. Here is our forecast for the year ahead.
