World's Most Confusing Currency? (IRANIAN RIAL)
One of my favorite things to do whenever I enter a new country (like Iran) is analyzed their currency situation, exchange rate and how these things affect their economy.
I’ve handled many inflated currencies -- such as the Indonesian RUPIAH and Vietnamese DONG — but here in Iran, the RIAL gets a lot more confusing than inflation.
Iran has 2 different systems to count their money. The first is RIALS (the official Iranian currency), and the second is TUMAN (which is like the Rial, without the last zero). As a traveler, you don’t know which price is listed unless you ask. $1 USD = 50,000 Rials and that same $1 dollar = 5,000 Tuman. Sound confusing? ... It is!
Moreover, the only way to get money in Iran as a tourist is by bringing lots of cash (USD or Euros is preferred) and then exchanging it for Iranian Rials when you arrive. The reason is because there are no ATMs in Iran that cater to foreign banks.
If you are as confused reading this as I am typing it out, then this video will explain the confusing world of the Iranian Rial a little better.
Just curious, did you know anything about this before I made this video? Please share your thoughts on this below! And special thanks to G Adventures for hosting me on this life changing trip!

AGUASCALIENTES, MEXICO is SO UNDERRATED!!
We're enjoying Dia de Los Muertos celebrations in Aguascalientes, a TOTALLY underrated Mexican city.
►New to Airbnb? Save $40 when you sign up with our link. We'll get a $20 credit.
We're celebrating our first ever Dia de Los Muertos, also known as Day of the Dead to English speakers, in Aguascalientes Mexico. Before coming to this city, we had no idea what to expect for Dia de Muertos OR the city itself. Now, we can safely say that neither the hype about this Mexican holiday nor the city itself let us down. We had an absolute blast at the Isla de San Marcos celebrations in Aguascalientes and all across the city.
As the Dia de Muertos festivities come to a close, we try to enjoy the last bits of time in what we think is an incredibly underrated city in Mexico. Everyone talks about the Day of the Dead celebrations in Mexico in Patzcuaro and the surrounding cities or the big shenanigans in Mexico City, but we can't imagine why no one considers Aguascalientes!
We only planned to stay here for a few days during our Dia de Los Muertos trip, but the kind and generous people, polite drivers, beautiful sunsets, and charming culture have us planning another trip back to Aguascalientes PRONTO!! :)

Here are our recommendations in order of appearance:
00:00 Tegalalang Rice Terrace
You find some of the most beautiful rice terraces of the island just outside of Ubud. A must-see!
00:08 Mount Batur (on the left) and Mount Agung (on the right, covered in clouds)
Those two still active volcanos define the landscape and the religious life of Bali. The Agung is both the highest point and the holiest place on the island.
00:10-00:11 Buyan Lake, Candi Tebing Tegallinggah, Handara Golf Resort Bali
Bali isn't short on stunning views. The crater lakes Buyan, Tamblingan and Beratan are a beautiful sight. Also worth stopping by: The impressive Handara Golf Resort and the hidden ancient ashram Tebing Tegallinggah. It's not easy to find, but tour operators like the highly recommended Matangi Tours (traditionalbalitours.com) can take you there.
00:12 Getting around
...is not always easy on Bali. Renting a scooter (4-6 Dollars/day) is still the best option to move around, but always wear a helmet and be very alert all the time. The traffic is mad!
00:15 Kroya Waterfall
The waterfalls around the most famous and beautiful Aling-Aling make for a fun day trip. You can slide down the Kroya Waterfall and jump into water basins from different platforms
00:17 White Water Rafting on the Ayung River , Bali and meet&greet with elephants
Adrenaline junkies should go on a scenic and fun rafting trip with Bali Adventure Tours. The company with a very good reputation also runs the Elephant Safari Park & Lodge where you can get up close with those wonderful animals.
00:22 Temple hopping
There are actually over 10 000 temples on Bali! Tanah Lot Temple, Bali sits on top of a cliff and the magnificent water temple Pura Ulun Danu Bratan can be found on the Bratan Lake. The Pura Goa Lawah houses thousands of bats and the most romantic temple scenery offers the Ulu Watu.
00:33 Surfing on Nusa Lembongan
Some of the best waves can be found on the tiny island in the Southeast, Nusa Lembongan. To surf at Lacerations, get a boat out with the guys from nusaislands.com who also offer lessons for beginners.
00:37 Canggu area
Kuta and Seminyak in the South is the party zone of the island. Canggu a bit further up north is the surf epicentre, and with the surfer crowd came organic cafés, smoothies bars and chill-out areas. A great place to cure your hangover.
00:39 Traditional cuisine
You will never starve on Bali. And the indonesian/balinese cuisine is delicious. Nasi Campur is kind of a national dish, the indonesian idea of tapas
00:41 Ubud
The cultural and artistic centre of the island is worth to spend several days in. You can spend hours at the fascinating and bustling art market - and spend millions of rupia.
00:44 Turtle Hatchery Project Proyek Penyu
1992 Chris Brown, the owner of Reef Seen Aquatics (reefseenbali.com) in Pemuteran started this project to protect local sea turtles. For a donation you can then release them into the wild.
00:46 Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary Ubud
Your chance for a zillion photos with monkeys. There are more feral monkey in this forest than you can count. Hold on to your bags and your food - unless you want to give away one or two bananas.
00:50 Menjangan Island Bali
The Marine National Park in the Northwest has a stunning array of marine life. One of the best dive and snorkel sites of the island! Dives or snorkel tours can best be booked in Pemuteran Village. We recommend the guys from Funtastic Dive.
00:54 Manta Point, Nusa Penida, Bali
One of the best dives we ever had. Manta Point is a cleaning station for manta rays and their beauty and elegance is mind-boggling. balihaidiving.com is one of the most renowned companies on Nusa Lembongan and offers trips to the best sites around the neighbour island.
00:58 Pemuteran Beach
Due to its volcanic sand not as pretty as the beaches in the south, but therefore far less crowded and very peaceful. A welcome change to places like Kuta.
01:00 Bedugul Traditional Market
The pretty fruit and spice market in Bedugul offers all that your stomach could want. And the prices are among the cheapest on the island.
01:02 Hindu Blessing Ceremony
A very special experience at Matangi Tours is a meeting with the youngest Brahman archpriest of the island and get blessed in this traditional Hindu ceremony in Sidemen.
01:04 Pura Kehen, Bangli
This temple located in Bangli, Bali, Indonesia is one of the most important ones on the island, known for its beautiful ceremonies.

Washington D.C. is situated on the east coast of the USA, along the banks of the Potomac River.
Most visitors begin at the National Mall. Zero Milestone is the proposed reference point for distances on all US maps. To the north is the White House. To the south stands the Washington Monument. The US Capitol Building, atop Capitol Hill, is the nation's seat of federal government.
The Mall is also home to many of the nation's Smithsonian buildings, including the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.
Reflecting Pool is surrounded by tributes to its heroes and founding fathers, including the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial.
Washington D.C.'s Capital Bikeshare system makes it easy to reach downtown neighborhoods such as DuPont Circle and Foggy Bottom.
Georgetown is the oldest district in Washington D.C. Wisconsin Avenue and M Street have boutique stores and galleries. To the north is the National Cathedral, the Smithsonian National Zoo and the International Spy Museum.
Just across the Potomac is Arlington National Cemetery.
