Hike from scenic VALL de NURIA Valley To Ribes de Freser village in Pyrenees, Spain - Day 2
In today's video we show you our way down from Coma de Eyne to the Vall de Nuria Valley and then on the second day the hike from Vall de Nuria to Ribes de Freser village in Spain. It is a beautiful scenic trail that is suitable for anybody. If you love being around scenic landscapes, meeting wildlife and enjoying the serene atmosphere - this is the hike for you!
While we were getting down to the Vall de Nuria Valley following along the GR trail we could truly enjoy the breathtaking landscapes around us. From all the sides we were surrounded by the beautiful green mountain summits and we had the feeling of walking along the edge of it, that lovely sense of freedom that you get in the mountains. It was an epic downhill indeed. On the way we met one of the most cutest creatures - some curious marmots playing and running around. It was our first time at Nuria in summer, we've been here before in winter, and we were amazed by how drastically can change landscapes from season to season. We arrived at Nuria and found that there is an official camping site with plenty of people in there. We were a bit dissapointed by this fact but we had no other option than to find a nice place there. Later in the evening we were shocked to see a disco going on right at the corner of our camping spot. We weren't sure whether it was a seasonal thing or it was because of weekend but it looked very strange and inappropriate to us making from such a beautiful peaceful place a disco party. The next day we woke up to the idyllic quiet morning. Still in the dusk before the sunrise we saw some isards pasturing at the hillside opposite to us. So we had our breakfast at one of the picnic tables around the lake and we were good to start the trail...

Places to see in ( Girona - Spain ) Vall de Nuria
La Vall de Núria is a south-opening valley coming down from the crest of the Pyrenees within the municipality of Queralbs, province of Girona, community of Catalonia, Spain. The floor of the valley lies about 2,000 metres (6,600 ft) above sea level and is accessible from the south via a rack railway (the Vall de Núria Rack Railway) or by foot, and from France to the north by footpaths. There are no roads to access the valley. The place is historically notable for the 1931 drafting of the first Catalan Statute of Autonomy, in the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Núria.
According to tradition, Saint Giles (Catalan: Sant Gil) arrived in the valley in approximately 700 AD and lived there for four years. He crafted an image of the Virgin Mary and hid it in a cave when forced to flee from persecution by the Romans against Christians. Along with the image of the Virgin, he left a pot used for cooking, a cross, and a bell for calling shepherds to meals.
According to tradition, a pilgrim named Amadéu began searching for the image in 1072, after having a prophetic dream. He built a small chapel for pilgrims, and found the image seven years later, next to the pot, the cross, and the bell, and he brought the objects to the chapel to be venerated.
The image has been dated to have been made during the 12th or 13th century. It is a wooden Romanesque carving. The primitive-looking polychrome statue retains its painting intact. The shepherds regarded the image of the Blessed Virgin as a patron saint of fertility. The canonical consecration of Our Lady of Núria was made in 1965. Her feast day is September 8. The name Núria is now a popular girl's name in Catalonia.
The ski resort in the valley is operated by the same company that operates the Vall de Núria Rack Railway. The resort has 10 alpine ski pistes (three green, three blue, two red and two black), and a special slope for sleighs, totalling 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) of marked pistes. In summer 2006, 18 snow cannons were installed, making a total of 73 cannons. A quad chair lift from the resort base at 1,964 metres (6,444 ft), goes up to its highest point, at 2,252 m.; two platter lifts serve the beginners' area; and a gondola lift (telecabina) accesses the Pic de l'Àliga youth hostel.

Hiking Asturias: Ruta del Alba. The most popular route in Asturias
Hiking Asturias: Ruta del Alba.
This is the most famous hiking route you can do in Asturias (North of Spain). It is located in the Natural Park of Redes, in Sobrescobio (no drones allowed). It starts in Soto de Aguas and ends in Cruce de los Rios, although we ended ours a little bit earlier, in Puente del Alba.
Our route was 5 km long each way and it is very easy to walk, since it is a concrete path. The way back is the same way you come in. Children can do it without a problem and along the way you will find two picnic areas: the first one is around 1 - 1.5 km. To access it you need to cross a wooden bridge. The second one is in Puente de la Vega.
Hope you enjoyed the journey with and please don't forget to subscribe!

EYNE valley HIKE in PYRENEES, France | Animal and flower paradise - Day 1
In today's video we are sharing with you Day 1 of our Eyne Valley to Vall de Nuria hike where we cross from France to Spain through the Pyrenees mountains. Eyne valley is known for its exceptional variety of flora and fauna in every time of the year and we were very excited to discover what it keeps for us in the spring time.
We planned to hike through the Eyne Valley, cross the mountains and get to Vall de Nuria in the evening. We weren't sure that we could do it in one day and it wasn't the goal. The morning was very fresh and cool and the lighting was absolutely beautiful with the first rays of sun beaming through the forest. Everything was just waking up and there were lots of crystal clear water drops hanging from the leaves and grass. When we got into the forest there was a misty atmosphere with all the water evaporating from the surface. First we went through the beautiful pine forest and then came out to the open green meadows where there were peacefully pasturing cows and horses. The landscape was so serene that it was hard to believe our own eyes. It was an idyllic and peaceful picture of horses pasturing free without any gates, bright green colours around and water flowing down the rocks. We met lots and lots of unique colourful flowers blossoming on the ground and bushes. While we were moving up the valley we were fortunate to meet some marmots as well which were behaving quite carelessly and we assumed that they might have been babies born this year. So we absolutely can recommend this hike for everybody who loves natural untouched secluded places with rich variety of flora and fauna and lots of potential for great photos. This is a wonderful place to unwind and to be at peace. The path itself was relatively easy all the way through with no steep uphills and only when we got at the foot of the mountain range the path was starting to become harder but nothing extreme either. It was a very happy moment when we climbed to the top and saw Vall de Nuria on the Spanish side. The views were incredible from all the sides. So we had our lunch break there at the top and were ready to go downhill to Vall de Nuria...

Traversing Spain Twice part 2 of 3 - Backpacking Across the Pyrenees by Francis Tapon
PART 2: Francis Tapon continues backpacking across the Pyrenees. Having just left Aneto, we pick up the story as he goes to El Monte Perdido. Then the trail slowly descends and, along the way, crosses two popular places where El Camino Santiago goes over the Pyrenees. One place is Puerto Somport and the other is St. Jean Pied-de-Port and Roncesvalles. That's where he officially begins El Camino Santiago, but first, he has to complete the Pyrenees tranverse. So he continues until he arrives to the Atlantic Ocean at Handaye, France. He celebrates by touching the water, and then hikes south to rejoin El Camino Santiago, which you can see in Part 3.
WATCH PART 1 where Francis Tapon starts in Cap de Creus, in Spain and then goes to Banyuls-sur-Mer, France. From there, he starts to climb up into the Pyrenees, in a trip that will take him across Spain twice. In this segment, he goes to Andorra and then to Mt. Aneto, the tallest mountain in the Pyrenees. I followed the GR11 40% of the time, the HRP 40% of the time, and the GR10 20% of the time.
