Saarbrücken, Saarland - Germany 4K Travel Channel
Saarbrücken, the capital of the German state Saarland, was originally not on our itinerary! We had planned a four weeks trip to Spain by train, but the strike of the train drivers union GDL forced us to arrive a day early in order to catch our Intercity to Paris.
So we take advantage of the opportunity to make a small tour through the downtown. We book a hotel opposite the Congress Hall, as it is just minutes from the train station. At the beginning of the pedestrian area the Bergwerksdirektion (mining directorate) stings us in the eye. The listed building houses the Europa Galerie, a shopping center, today. We walk through the pedestrian area and turn left to the town hall of St. John and St. John's Church.
Of course a visit to the St. Johanner Markt, a square with many nice cafes, bars and restaurants, should not be missed. The first warm spring day has driven people to the streets, so that everywhere there is lively bustle.
We reach the river Saar at the State Theater and cross the river. On the other side we leave the castle on your left and walk through the narrow streets of Old Saarbrücken. From the Wilhelm Heinrich bridge one has the best overview of the banks of the Saar, the harbor and the waterfront, which is called Berliner Promenade. In the distance, you can recognize the University of the Saarland on the Winterberg.
We end the evening in a nice restaurant with a typical dish of the region.

Bellevue Hotel and Spa, Cogne, Aosta, Italy
youtube travel videos
A little promo I did for one of the hotels we stayed at in Italy. I wanted to keep the promo to around one minute and appeal to the widest audience.
Three reasons to stay at the Bellevue Hotel and Spa in Cogne, Aosta-
*Cogne is a authentic mountain village located in Italy’s oldest national park. Connecting with nature and the local wildlife is pretty much guaranteed.
*The hotel is like a local museum, the collection of local artwork and artefacts is really impressive.
Run by four generations of the same family and with a 90 year history, Bellevue is a cultural icon.
*Bellevue also offers the complete holiday package, in-house. Several restaurants, featuring local specialities and an extensive award winning spa centre, featuring unique vitality treatments.

New Delhi, India Shopping Guide - Chandni Chowk
Jewelry, sarees, spices, and the crowds in a traditional Indian market.
Getting There/Directions:
Metro - Chandni Chowk Stop
Other options are to take a taxi or autorickshaw. Get off at the entrance and walk through the narrow market streets to Chandni Chowk.
Other Information:
Chandni Chowk has many markets that sell jewelery, spices, metals, nuts, books, clothes, shoes, electrical goods, antiques, medical equipment, chemicals, bicycles, paranthas etc.
India is a country that can be intriguing and overwhelming for first time tourists, and the same can be said about the local market here called Chandni Chowk. Here, you will be surrounded by hundreds of people, you have to see it to believe it. Jewelry is a big part of Indian culture, it is a common gift item in the festivals and weddings.
This area of Chandni Chowk, you can see all kinds of beautiful Sari's and handlooms. Indian textiles are very popular internationally and are exported in large quantities. Sari is a traditional dress in India and a lot of women come to buy these for their weddings. While you walk into the stores to check out the Sari's, you might encounter some kind of sale special from the shopkeepers. We have come to Chandni Chowk because of wide range of variety and prices are also less compared to other markets.
Well, if you ever wanted to learn a lot about the Indian spices and dried fruits, there is no place better than this. Come here, experience tastes, smell. This place is brimming with activity. What is special about this (spice market)? Here you get all kinds of spices, dry fruits and pickles. Lot of it is exported as well. This place is full of temples. Some are small, some are big. This is the Shani Dev Temple, one of the many temples that you have here. It seems religion and commerce go hand in hand. I am Vikrant Gupta, showing you my city.

Fontana is a city of 207,460 residents in San Bernardino County, California. Founded by Azariel Blanchard Miller in 1913, it remained essentially rural until World War II, when entrepreneur Henry J. Kaiser built a large steel mill in the area. It is now a regional hub of the trucking industry, with Interstate 10 and State Route 210 transecting the city from east to west, and Interstate 15 passing diagonally through its northwestern quadrant
It is home to the Auto Club Speedway on the site of the Kaiser Steel Mill. Fontana also hosts the Fontana Days Half Marathon and 5K run. This race is the fastest half-marathon course in the world.
The name fontana is Italian for fountain or water source, being in close proximity to the Santa Ana River to the east.
Fontana was founded in 1913 by Azariel Blanchard Miller.
Within a few years it became an agricultural town of citrus orchards, vineyards and chicken ranches astride U.S. Route 66 (now known as Foothill Boulevard).
The Fontana area was radically transformed during World War II when Henry J. Kaiser built one of only two steel mills west of the Mississippi River outside the city limits. To provide for the plant workers' health needs, Henry J. Kaiser constructed the Fontana Kaiser Permanente medical facility, now the largest managed care organization in the United States.
In the 1950s and '60s, Fontana was home to a drag racing strip that was a venue in the NHRA circuit. Mickey Thompson's Fontana International Dragway was also referred to as Fontana Drag City or Fontana Drag Strip. The original Fontana strip is long since defunct, but the owners of NASCAR's new Auto Club Speedway opened a new NHRA-sanctioned drag strip in Fontana in mid-2006 to resurrect Fontana's drag-racing heritage.
Ro-Val's automobile museum, located on Foothill Boulevard on the western outskirts between Fontana and Cucamonga, was for a while the home for many classic automobiles of the 1920s and '30s, including a huge vehicle once owned by screen actor Fatty Arbuckle. When the Ro-Val museum closed, the vehicles were sold to Bill Harrah, a Nevada casino owner and automobile collector, who placed them on display in the museum located at his casino.
As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 128,929, but the present population is now estimated to have reached over 200,000 (2013). This rapid expansion had much to do with the numerous large, new residential developments in the almost totally undeveloped northern part of the city, as well as with the city's aggressive (and highly successful) campaign to annex several unincorporated, but developed, San Bernardino county island areas in
