Mostly shot on Sony A6300 with Sigma 30mm f1.4 and also with the kit lens 16-35mm OS. Had a lot of trouble with the low light capabilities because this was a run and gun shoot. I adjust the parameter with the best of my ability at the time; this was my first time shooting in a chaotic place (it was Saturday night, lots of people).

Wandering around Ikishima (Nagasaki, Japan) | 壱岐島 旅行 | VLOG 01
Yo guys, I am Paren and welcome to my vlog series Paren Vlogs, which features me travelling around Japan (for now) and exploring this culture-rich country while doing so. This vlog features my trip to Iki Island (壱岐島,長崎) which comes within the Nagasaki prefecture.
Me and my friends took a ferry from the Hakata ferry terminal to Gonoura port in Iki (ferry was around 2-2.5 hours long and costed us 2000 yen one way). It is a small (less than 20 km north to south and 15 km east to west) yet beautiful island with its share of pretty sight-seeing places (beaches, symbolic rocks, shrines etc.), tasty foods (seafood and Iki beef are highly recommended) and the brownish relaxing onsens. We rented electric bikes from the ferry station since the place is rather hilly and hence electric bikes proved to be convenient (car rental services are also available though they are quite limited). We stayed at probably the cheapest guesthouse on the island which cost us 3000 yen for the night, the dorm rooms were quite comfortable and the owner was quite friendly and we had a pleasant stay there.
Following is the list of places we wandered around :
Money Rock/Saru Iwa (猿岩) : One of the symbols of Iki island, this rock resembles the face of a money from an angle and hence the name. During world war II, this rock was guarded by a massive gun in order to prevent the Americans from causing harm to it. It could make a great cliff diving spot (though am not aware if climbing it is permitted).
Sakyobana (左京鼻) : Another symbol and landmark of the island, Sakyobana is a popular hangout spot for cormonants (a kind of bird) and the beautiful white tint seen on the rock is thanks to their poops.
Ondake Shrine (男嶽神社): It took us a lot of effort, even with out electric bikes, to reach this second-highest point on the island. This shrine is home to a lot (and I mean a lot) of monkey statues, including the see no evil/speak no evil/listen no evil kinds and also some super cute ones.
Apart from these places the Island is also famous for its spectacular beaches (go in summer please), like Tsukihama (the most famous one probably), Twins beach (my personal favourite since you can see two distinct colors of water meeting), Kiyoshihama (probably the one where me and my friend went climbing over rocks and so on. Other recommended places, where we did not go due to time considerations, were Takanotsuhi (highest point on Iki) and Devil’s footprint (rock formation in the sea believed to be the result of a gigantic demon trying to catch a whale and leaving his footprint in the process).
Following are useful links regarding the island:

Shimla City Tour Drive India - Kufri, Mall Road, Jakhu *HD*
Shimla, India: The video shows the popular tourist attractions of Shimla - Mall Road, Jakhu Temple, Kufri, Toy Train. It also captures the scenic panoramic beauty of the wonderful hill station by a drive through city towards Kufri route.
Shimla , Simla, is the capital city of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, located in northern India. Shimla acts as a hub for India's tourism sector.
In 1864, Shimla was officially designated the summer capital of British India, succeeding Murree, northeast of Rawalpindi. After independence, Lahore was given to Pakistan and Shimla became the capital of Punjab and was later the capital of Himachal Pradesh.
After reorganisation, the Mahasu district and its major portion was merged with Shimla. Its name is derived from the goddess Shyamala Devi, an incarnation of the Hindu goddess Kali. Shimla historically contained the 19 hill states of Baghal, Baghat, Balsan, Bashahr, Bhajji, Bija, Darkoti, Dhami, Jubal, Keonthal, Kumharsain, Kunihar, Kuthar, Mahlog, Mangal, Nalagarh (Hindur), Sangri and Tharoch.
Shimla is home to a number of colleges and research institutions as well as multiple temples and palaces. The city's buildings are styled in the Tudorbethan and neo-Gothic architectures dating from the colonial era.
Owing to its steep terrain, Shimla hosts the mountain biking race MTB Himalaya, which started in 2005 and is regarded as the biggest event of its kind in South Asia
Group 4 G4S Security guards pose for us at Maruti Suzuki Gurgaon plant
On 18th July 2012, Maruti's Manesar plant was hit by violence as workers at one of its auto factories attacked supervisors and started a fire that killed a company official and injured 100 managers, including two Japanese expatriates. The violent mob also injured 9 policemen. The company's General Manager of Human Resources had both arms and legs broken by his attackers, unable to leave the building that was set ablaze, and was charred to death. The incident is the worst-ever for Suzuki since the company began operations in India in 1983.
Since April 2012, the Manesar union had demanded a five-fold increase in basic salary, a monthly conveyance allowance of INR 10,000, a laundry allowance of INR 3,000, a gift with every new car launch, and a house for every worker who wants one or cheaper home loans for those who want to build their own houses. In addition to this compensation and normal weekend/holidays, the union demanded the current 4 paid weeks of vacation be increased to 7 weeks, plus each worker have 40 days allowance of sick and casual leave - for a total of 75 days. Initial reports claimed wage dispute and a union spokesman alleged the incident may be caste-related. According to the Maruti Suzuki Workers Union a supervisor had abused and made discriminatory comments to a low-caste worker. These claims were denied by the company and the police. The supervisor alleged was found to belong to a tribal heritage and outside of Hindu caste system; further, the numerous workers involved in violence were not affiliated with caste either. Maruti said the unrest began, not over wage discussions, but after the workers' union demanded the reinstatement of a worker who had been suspended for beating a supervisor. The workers claim harsh working conditions and extensive hiring of low-paid contract workers which are paid about $126 a month, about half the minimum wage of permanent employees. Maruti employees currently earn allowances in addition to their base wage. Company executives denied harsh conditions and claim they hired entry-level workers on contracts and made them permanent as they gained experience. It was also claimed that bouncers were deployed by the company.
Maruti Suzuki in its statement on the unrest, announced that all work at the Manesar plant has been suspended indefinitely. A Suzuki spokesman said Manesar violence won't affect the auto maker's business plans for India. The shut down of Manesar plant is leading to a loss of about Rs 75 crore per day. On July 21, 2012, citing safety concerns, the company announced a lockout under The Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 pending results of an inquiry the company has requested of the Haryana government into the causes of the disorder. Under the provisions of The Industrial Disputes Act wages, the report claimed, employees are expected to be paid for the duration of the lockout. On July 26 2012, Maruti announced employees would not be paid for the period of lock-out in accordance with labour laws of India. The company further announced that it will stop using contract workers by March 2013. Source: wikipedia
