This is most probably the most amazing trip we've ever had. Did you ever imagine walking on a frozen sea and dipping in it's water holes? NO! Same here. Never in our lives did we imagine experiencing awesomeness of this level.
And when we actually though the drift ice was the highlight of our trip, Mt. Asahidake stood tall, with it's white sulfur vents, luring us to another spectacle.
In a trip, there's always 1 destination you can skip when coming back in the future. This sojourn, however is different as all of the places we've been are highlights and removing even 1 of them would make it less of an experience.
Hopefully, one of you guys would eventually experience this trip like how we did!

Beautiful Hokkaido in Springtime | 4K VLOG
Finally I've got the chance to use the music by Joe Hisaishi (久石譲). This song reminds me of the movie Kikujiro every time I listen to it, and it has inspired me to visit Hokkaido. I visited Furano and Biei before heading to Sapporo. The primary reason that I wanted to visit Hokkaido was the rural landscape. Hokkaido is known to be incredibly scenic in summertime. Although it was a pity that I couldn't see much here at this time, I did get a great time enjoying the peacefulness. The tranquillity of Hokkaido towns was what made my trip special, I guess.
I left Japan after this trip. After staying in Japan for about 4 months, I've learned a lot about this country. I was very lucky to spend a few months here and have travelled major parts. Time to say bye, さようなら！

From traditional Japanese culture to local indigenous crafts; from powder-snow covered mountains to frozen seas: from outdoor sports to vast wildlife, we got an amazing introduction of this northern island. It is definitely one of the toughest filming and traveling experience for us with the abundant snowfall, below zero temperatures, and icy roads.

Summer in Hokkaido + Tokyo | Japan 2016
Found a bunch of clips from my second trip to Japan back. My family and I spent a week in Hokkaido last July 2016. Zero snow, but all the flowers in full bloom! We spent a couple of days in Tokyo as well where I got to see a festival in Shibuya. A lovely summer vacation!
EDIT: I messed up the date in the first few seconds. It reads 2017, but this trip really happened in 2016.
