Explore Colorado Zip Lining At Devil’s Thumb Ranch
Devil’s Thumb Ranch is one of Colorado’s premiere luxury ranches. It is in Grand County and about 10 minutes away from Winter Park. If you want to get a bird’s eye view of the ranch, go on the Adventure Zip Line Tour. On the tour, you fly down five different zip lines that travel at speeds up to 40 miles per hour.
The full Adventure Zip Line Tour at Devil's Thumb Ranch is offered three times a day and is $99 a person. You can do just the High Lonesome Zip Line only for $45 at 4:30 p.m. daily. Riders must be between 75 and 275 pounds. You do not have to be a guest of the ranch to do the zip line tour but you do need to make a reservation.
DENVER TO ASPEN - OUR FIRST ROAD TRIP IN COLORADO
This trip in February 2013 started in Downtown Denver, Colorado with our final destination, for a week of skiing, being Aspen Colorado. Our road trip took us almost 8 hours as we played tourist, as well as having to take the longer route (bypassing Independence Pass). It did take us approx. 4.5 hours, but it's a gorgeous and fun drive so it couldn't have taken us all day and I wouldn't have cared. The Rockie Mountains are a breathtaking backdrop. Apologies for the rough editing and the not so great music, I created this very quickly for my in-laws to view.
