Louisiana is a southeastern U.S. state on the Gulf of Mexico. Its history as a melting pot of French, African,
American and French-Canadian cultures is reflected in its Creole and Cajun cultures.
Famous for lively and colourful Mardi Gras celebrations that are full of soul, jazz music, distinctive foods and flavours, and for its many festivals all throughout the year,
Louisiana is also home to the world’s longest water-spanning bridge and the USA’s tallest state capitol.
Unfortunately, the weather in Louisiana is unpredictable, to say the least. Plan to experience all four seasons in just a few days!
Temperatures can vary wildly and while one day may be perfect beach weather, the following day could be wet and windy or shiver-inducing cold.
The laid-back lifestyle and rich diversity of the state make Louisiana a great place to live.
Louisiana is filled with some of the most amazing small towns and bigger cities in the country. It can be difficult to know exactly where it’s best to settle down.
But for those who have spent significant amounts of time in the city, there are certainly some places that stand out among the crowd.
Here are the 10 best places to live in Louisiana for 2018:
1. Lafayette.
2. Baton Rouge.
3. New Orleans.
4. Alexandria.
5. Mandeville.
6. Scott.
7. Bossier City.
8. Youngsville.
9. Inniswold.
10. Prien.

10 Real Haunted Ghost Towns to See in America!
Want to visit a REAL ghost town? Spooky abandoned post-apocalyptic villages aren’t just the stuff of movies - there are plenty right here in America, and some are said to be haunted!
1. Bodie, California
This National Historic Landmark is a perfectly preserved example of the late nineteenth century gold mining towns of California. Rumor has it, any visitor who tries to sneak off with an artifact from this ghost town will be cursed with bad luck!
2. St. Elmo, Colorado
St. Elmo was a lively mining center with a booming population of 2000 until the local railroad closed down. Apparently, the ghost of former resident Annabelle Stark keeps watch over the town.
3. Centralia, Pennsylvania
Centralia is home to 10 stubborn people who refuse to move and was the main inspiration for the horror movie Silent Hill. A mine fire which has been burning under the town since 1962 has caused most residents to leave over the years.
4. Bannack, Montana
With a thriving population of 10,000 it was nicknamed the New Eldorado by the hopeful prospectors. It also once had an outlaw gang leader as its sheriff. Each July, there’s a re-enactment festival celebrating the town’s former glory.
5. Cahawba, Alabama
Cahawba was once the capital of Alabama but today is an archeological park open to visitors. You can wander around and view the many abandoned streets and ruins of this formerly important governmental center.
6. Rhyolite, Nevada
First established as a mining camp near Death Valley in 1905, Rhyolite saw its peak during the American gold rush. It’s a great testament of the boom and bust cycle of this era.
7. Terlingua, Texas
Once a district of mining villages, today a ghost town, reduced to several closed mines and many abandoned industrial facilities, businesses and homes. However there’s still a working saloon for those seeking the authentic Old West experience.
8. Oatman, Arizona
Located in the Black Mountains it became famous when 10 million dollars worth of gold was discovered in the area. Wild burros now roam the streets and gunfights are staged on the weekends.
9. Glenrio, Texas
Formerly known as Rock Island it was a railway town which fell into disuse when Interstate 40 bypassed the community in 1973. Visit the Phillips 66 Service Station and other once-busy buildings that are now ghosts of their former glory.
10. Kennecott, Alaska
One of the most remote ghost towns in America, is an old copper mining town. Virtually abandoned since the Depression in the 1930’s, it now has guided tours allowing visitors to explore the abandoned buildings frozen in time…

Up first is Price’s Chicken Coop, a small, local joint that has been selling some of North Carolina’s best soul food since 1962. I had to try their mouthwatering fish with tartar sauce, famous fried chicken, fries, hush puppies, cole slaw, and a refreshing tea. This was one of my favorite meals I had while I was in Charlotte. I was in Southern fried food heaven!
Price’s Chicken Coop:
My next stop was Wooden Robot Brewery, an award-winning local urban farmhouse brewery that was started by a pair of guys who have been best friends since middle school. I tried their Night Mayor porter, Good Morning Vietnam blonde ale, Space Magic IPA, Pretzel Gose sour, Cedar Grove farmhouse ale, and their Botoberfest lager. Some of the best beers I had in Charlotte!
Wooden Robot Brewery:
My final stop was Sycamore Brewing, which was started by a husband and wife duo back in 2013 and has won several awards since then. I tried their maple pecan macchiato blonde, Mountain Candy IPA, peanut butter porter, Party Bear bourbon barrel aged stout, Sun Grown lager, Southern Girl blonde ale, more Mountain Candy IPA, and Rosé Cider. These beers were amazing!
Sycamore Brewing:
I hope you enjoyed coming along with me as I explored what to eat and drink in Charlotte’s South End district! If you did please give this video a thumbs up, leave a comment and subscribe to my channel for more awesome travel and food content!

Worcester MA - 10 best things to do in Worcester
Worcester is city with a lot happening, we’re a place for business, a college town, a medical center and fun place to be. We’re right in the middle of state so whether you’re driving or flying we’re easy to get to.
Like many cities in Massachusetts we started life as a textile and manufacturing hub. Today the old mill buildings have been converted to lofts and office space and we’ve grown into a biotech, medical and business hotspot.
But we’re not just about working we educate too. Worcester is home to 7 colleges and universities. You’ll fine students and faculty everywhere! The education system is one of our major employers and keeps the city humming.
Need some culture, we’ve got that too. Check out our museums like the Worcester Art or Historical Museum. For music or live theatre it’s Mechanics Hall one of the oldest concert halls in the country. The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts brings Broadway shows. And Tuckerman Hall is home to the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra.
Our DCU Center is the perfect location for conventions, concerts, and sporting events and home to our hockey team, the Worcester Sharks.
You’ll always find something to do, we’ve got plenty of parks, open space and neighborhoods. Shrewsbury Street is Worcester’s Little Italy and the Canal District has been redeveloped into a popular bar, restaurant and club scene. We’ve even got a golf course in our city, and Ward Ski area is just minutes away.
We’re looking forward to seeing you in Worcester. Please contact the Worcester Regional Chamber of commerce for more information.

Killeen Tx 4K - Drive through K Town
This is a drive through Killeen Tx otherwise known as K Town. This is the main expressway through Killeen and Harker Heights.
Killeen is directly adjacent to the main cantonment of Fort Hood. Its economy depends on the activities of the post, and the soldiers and their families stationed there. It is known as a military boom town because of its rapid growth and high influx of soldiers.
Killeen is home to Vive Les Arts Theatre, a full-time arts organization which produces several Main Stage and Children's Theatre shows each year.
The Killeen Independent School District (KISD) is the largest school district between Round Rock and Dallas, encompassing Killeen, Harker Heights, Fort Hood, Nolanville, and rural west Bell County. KISD has 32 elementary schools (PK–5), 11 middle schools (6–8), 4 high schools (9–12), and 5 specialized campuses. KISD's four high schools and mascots are the Killeen High School Kangaroos (the original citywide high school), the Ellison High School Eagles, the Harker Heights High School Knights, and the Shoemaker High School Grey Wolves.
The City of Killeen has a very extensive Parks and Recreation program. On WS Young Drive, we offer athletics fields, where we host regional and national tournaments and the Community Center, which is a multi purpose facility with gym, meeting rooms and outdoors event area. Newly added is Mickey's Dog Park featuring two acres of pup amenities.
On Stan Schlueter Loop we have the Family Recreation Center and Aquatics Center at Lions Club Park. The second floor weight room at the Family Recreation Center is called the Tommie Harris Fitness Center, as a tribute to the NFL Player, who donated the gym equipment. Tommie Harris, who played Defensive Tackle for the Chicago Bears from 2004 to 2010 and the San Diego Chargers in 2011, was raised in Killeen, and went to C.E. Ellison High School. We are very grateful for his generous gift and proud to honor his name in this manner.
Harker Heights is located near Fort Hood, a major United States Army post that was designated a permanent military facility in 1950. As the post expanded, the surrounding civilian population increased.
Interstate 14/U.S. Highway 190 is a four-lane freeway that passes through the city, connecting Killeen to the west with Interstate 35 in Belton 12 miles (19 km) to the east, at a point about halfway between Waco and Austin.
Whatever your desired recreational activity, you are bound to find it in our Parks and Recreation Department. Quality of life is a priority in this community and the department is dedicated in providing this service. A copy of the Recreation Guide can be obtained at the City’s Recreation Department (307 Millers Crossing), City Hall (305 Miller’s Crossing) or on the City’s Website.
