South Jutland County is a former county on the south-central portion of the Jutland Peninsula in southern Denmark. The county was formed on 1 April, 1970, comprising the former counties of Aabenraa , Haderslev , Sønderborg , and Tønder . The county was abolished effective 1 January, 2007, when the Region of Southern Denmark was formed. Following the reunification of the region with Denmark, the Church of Denmark elevated Haderslev to a diocese in 1923 and divided the region between the dioceses of Ribe and Haderslev . This arrangement remains in effect.

    LEGO® House is a new LEGO experience house in the town Billund, Denmark, where the Lego brick was invented. Inaugurated in 2017, the building serves multiple functions: as a tourist attraction and exhibition, a cafe, and a Lego store. The centre brands itself as Home of the Brick™.In the astonishing balancing bricks-shaped building you can dive into the more than 80-year LEGO history, marvel at the most advanced LEGO masterpieces, and not least enjoy hours of play with no less than 25 million bricks at your disposal. The house was opened by Crown Princess Mary on 28 September and had 70,000 visitors in the first 100 days of operation.The building housing the centre is designed by renowned Danish architect Bjarke Ingels and his company BIG.

  • 2. Djurs Sommerland Nimtofte
    Djurs Sommerland is an amusement park located in Djursland, Denmark. It resides just north of the village of Nimtofte, 23 kilometers west of Grenaa, and 36 kilometers east of Randers. The park opened in 1981, and it has progressively expanded every year since then. The park is, as suggested in the name, predominantly open in the summer, with the recent addition of special Halloween opening-days in October. The season begins around May and lasts until mid-October. Djurs Sommerland has had around 800,000 annual visitors in recent years, making the park the fifth largest tourist attraction in Denmark.
