Vesthimmerland Municipality or Vesthimmerlands Municipality is a municipality in Denmark's North Jutland Region. It covers an area of 768,08 km² and has a total population of 38,277 . The Municipality borders Jammerbugt Municipality to the south and to the east it borders Rebild and Aalborg Municipality and to the south it borderes Viborg Municipality and to the south-east it borders Mariagerfjord Municipality. On 1 January 2007 Vesthimmerland municipality was created as the result of Kommunalreformen , consisting of the former municipalities of Aalestrup, Farsø, Løgstør, and Aars. Egå Engsø is an artificial lake and wetland site located in the north of the town of Aarhus between Vejlby, Risskov and Lystrup. Engsø means 'meadow lake' and Egå means 'oak stream', referring to the stream that drains the lake into the Aarhus bay. The lake area is bordered by the Djursland motorway to the north and the Aarhus-Grenaa railway and the municipal heating pipes from Studstrup Power Station to the south and west.

8. Nordsoen Oceanarium Hirtshals
Nordsøen Oceanarium is a public aquarium and museum that opened in 1998 on the shores of the North Sea in Hirtshals, north Jutland, Denmark. Their main tank, which holds 4,500,000 litres , is the largest in Northern Europe, but the Oceanarium also has several smaller habitat aquariums and an exhibit with seals. Species displayed are native to the oceans around Denmark. The Oceanarium is part of the Nordsøcentre, which also houses a conference centre.
