WATHABA HIKING TRAILS - Mpumalanga - South Africa
Wathaba Hiking Trail in Mpumalanga, South Africa. We look at the trail from new angles and views.
Wathaba has been awarded the best hiking trail in 2007, 2012 and 2015 in South Africa
The Lynx loop is a 10km hike which is absolutely beautiful with amazing waterfalls
Wathaba is a wilderness area in the Skurweberg Mountains boasting magnificent waterfalls, fauna and flora like wild flowers, mushrooms and lichens. Its indigenous kloof vegetation with over a hundred different identified and marked tree species (some of record size) is home to an array of some of Mpumalanga's most spectacular bird life. Birds such as the Bald Ibis, Knysna Loerie and Long-tailed Wagtail, to mention a few, occur here, as well as a variety of small mammals, reptiles and amphibians.

Zuid-Afrika.nl in Limpopo (Krugerpark) | Travel Video - Vlog | Getaway Travel
In de lente van 2017 maakte onze redacteur Marleen een rondreis door Zuid-Afrika. Samen met South African Tourism bezocht ze daar de arme en vaak vergeten provincie Limpopo. Omdat ze het doodzonde vindt dat deze plek vaak wordt overgeslagen, legde ze tijdens haar rondreis door Zuid-Afrika alles vast op camera.
In dit tweede deel van haar travel-video over Limpopo, neemt ze je mee naar het Krugerpark. Niet het zuidelijke deel waar veel reizigers naartoe gaan, maar juist het rustige, ongerepte noorden. Daar ontdekte ze een ware gidden hem. En ging Marleen voor het eerst in haar leven op wandelsafari. Halverwege was er een enorm beest heel dichtbij. In de vlog verklapt ze je welk dier dit was!
