Coming to Japan? You have to try going to a festival, or “matsuri.” Come with Bill and Amanda as they eat, drink and generally have a great time at the Hibuse Matsuri in Oshu, Iwate Prefecture. The Hibuse Matsuri has a history of over 300 years. The highlight is when the nine “hayashi” floats parade through the streets while the children and adults on the float play elegant music on taiko drums, flutes and shamisen.
