Ajijic Hiking Club consist of mostly Americans, Canadians a smaller Group of hikers are from all parts of the world.
The hiking group meets at the donut shop across the street from Guadalajara pharmacy at 8:30 AM in the morning and leaves for their hikes at 9 AM. The hikes range anywhere from 1 1/2 hours to 6 hours more or less and sometimes more. The elevation starts out at 5000 feet and can go as high as 10 thousand feet.
There are three levels of hikes beginners (hiking 1 1/2 hours to 3 hours) intermediate ( 3 to 4 hours) Advance 4 to 8 hours) the advance group meets at the donut shop at
8 AM in the morning. It's advisable to have good hiking shoes, hiking stick, water, something to eat, suntan lotion. Come and enjoy a beautiful hike through the mountains at Surround Lake Chapala.

We're one of the thousands of expats who adore the charming qualities of Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico. But it's true, there are some details that aren't the greatest. We wanted to make this video to give people the full picture on Ajijic (the negative details you might even call deal breakers) to make sure people can make an educated decision about moving to or retiring in Ajijic.
As Americans living in Mexico, we think the Lake Chapala area as a lot to offer. But it's not without its downsides.
