Our third time visiting Europe in the last few years. This time we're arriving from Thailand, spending a short night in Copenhagen, Denmark (we considered checking out Sweden for a few weeks but decided after landing in Copenhagen to just keep moving south for now). Check out our three day journey by plane (previous episode), train, ship, bus... and foot, until we arrive at our next temporary destination, the gorgeous Tyrol region of southern Austria / northern Italy.

About Us:
I'm PJ. My partner, inspiration, trainer, chef, and moral compass, Risa, are what we (reluctantly) refer to as, digital nomads. I say, reluctantly, as I've been living the digital nomad lifestyle for about 15 years now (long before the term was coined, and became the cheesy trend it is today. It seems that everyone these days on vacation with a laptop, a pina colada next to them, Avicii on their headphones, and a dozen memory sticks filled with selfies now considers themselves a (don't forget the hashtag) digital nomad.
I started out at age 19. I quit my job at the time, to focus on the then still relatively unknown arbitrage business model as applied on eBay. Long story short, I saw an opportunity, invested all I had in it (time + money) and by my early 20s, I no longer had any interest in returning to Canada (where I grew up). I bounced mostly around Asia, for many years (all the usual nomad hotspots: Thailand, Vietnam, S. Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, with a preference for Japan (lived all over Japan, from Tokyo, to the most remote Japanese islands in the Pacific).
In late 2013, one of my returns to Tokyo, I met a captivating young woman, Risa, who helped me to re-calibrate my high-flyin', rock-star lifestyle and regain focus. Within a few months of meeting, she elected to quit her job in Tokyo and joined me on this nomadic journey. This channel, will document our perpetual traveller lifestyle. It's not always easy, it's not always fun. There are highs and lows. Sometimes money is very tight, other times it seems like it's the least of our worries. But when done right, the digital nomad lifestyle is a journey unlike any other.
Over the last few years, we generally stay off the beaten path and instead venture into areas seldom spoken about in digital nomad circles. You won't see us visiting Bali, Saigon, or Bangkok. Been there, got the SIM card, and still feel a bit hungover.
As we travel, we focus on personal growth, on disconnecting, unlearning, and thus thriving. We attempt to engage in philanthropy when we can. We respect the cultures kind enough to allow us to visit their land and their homes.

And although the Wall is long gone and there are other swimming beaches on lakes, the Wannsee continues to draw families to its shores.
The Wannsee Beach is popular not just for its almost mile-long (1,275 metres), 80 metre wide beach filled with bright sand from Baltic, which ensures that there's enough space for every visitor. The Wannsee only becomes deep over a very gradual slope which makes it particularly safe for younger swimmers. A playground also offers a change of pace for the young ones, as do the bungee trampoline stations and snack stands. If you like, you can also rent a wicker beach shelter.

As guests in this beautiful land, we remain humbled on a daily basis to be fortunate enough to now call Switzerland home. After having traveled to, visited, or lived in, over 50 countries - no place on earth offers the social & political stability, natural beauty, and efficiency of Switzerland (at least of the dozens of countries we've lived in, or visited). We have a long way to go before we can consider ourselves assimilated, but we do our best- every day- not only to demonstrate our gratitude for the ability to live and thrive here, but also to contribute, in the small ways a couple with limited German language skills can, on a daily basis. In short... Switzerland is absolutely incredible - and we hope to demonstrate it's wonders with our humble videos like these.

Walking from Austria to Italy (in 1 day) Tirol Tyrol Nature Hikes Trails
Two completely inexperienced and out of shape (ok, one of us falls in that category) nomads decide to take on the Austrian Alps (or, so we call them to make ourselves feel better). Check out our day-long trek from the southern-most valley (in this part of Austria anyway) to the northermost valley in Italy. We're clearly amateur hikers (we don't have the shoes, the gear, or even a clue about what we're doing) but, we had fun nevertheless. Check back every week for new videos we shoot all over the world: we're lifetime travellers (it's all we do: we're both homeless- hopping from country to country for 14 years now collectively). We're eachother's home, and our laptops are our means to sustenance.

One beautiful summer day in Switzerland - 22 km hike Swiss Alps in
We went for a little 'walk' yesterday around our place. By 'little', I mean- an 11km or so hike up the mountains, and another 11kms or so back (although, admittedly, I found a shortcut- albeit a bit risky to take one with 2-3 hrs left of daylight in the middle of a mountain) but it worked out ok.
