Hamilton, New Zealand
Hamilton (Māori: Kirikiriroa) is the seat and most populous city of the Waikato Region, in the North Island of New Zealand.
The city encompasses a land area of about 110 km2 (42 sq mi) on the banks of the Waikato River, and is home to 153,100 people, making it New Zealand's fourth most-populous city. Hamilton City is part of the wider Hamilton Urban Area, which also encompasses the nearby towns of Ngaruawahia, Te Awamutu and Cambridge.
Initially an agricultural service centre, Hamilton now has a growing and diverse economy and is the third fastest growing urban area in New Zealand (behind Pukekohe and Auckland). Education and research and development play an important part in Hamilton's economy, as the city is home to approximately 40,000 tertiary students and 1,000 PhD-qualified scientists.

Hamilton's walking and cycling routes have been developed over many years, resulting in the growing interconnected network we have today! Recently the development programme has been accelerated in response to public support for more recreation and alternative transport options. As a result Hamilton City's extensive network of walking and cycling routes across parks, through gullies, alongside the Waikato River and on roads is used daily by commuters, families and people just interested in seeing where a path will take them!

The Hamilton section commences at the Lake Road junction with the Ngāruawāhia section in the north. It then runs south, to the east of Hamilton, connecting to the existing Tamahere interchange deviation just south of Hillcrest.
The Hamilton section will connect the Ngāruawāhia section of the expressway; reduce traffic congestion and improve safety on Hamilton’s local road network by significantly reducing through traffic.
The Waikato Expressway is one of New Zealand's Roads of National Significance.

Huntly section update – December 2018
The Huntly section will form part of the Waikato Expressway, connecting Auckland with the Waikato and Bay of Plenty.
The Huntly section involves 15km of four lane expressway, 4million m3 of earthworks, an 80m cut through the Taupiri Range, over 100ha of forest, bush and wetland enhancement and permanent protection of a sacred lagoon and two pa.
This construction project will connect the already completed Ohinewai section of the expressway to the Ngaruawahia section, which opened in late 2013; and reduce traffic congestion and improve safety within the Huntly and Taupiri townships by significantly reducing through traffic.

IGNITE 2014 NEW ZEALAND: SURGE EDITION
From January 10-13th, students from Wesleyan Churches all around New Zealand gathered to celebrate the supreme love and grace of God in an epic variety of games, workshops, services and camp activities. The Holy Spirit was present throughout the entire duration of camp as the youth and their leaders worshipped, ate and fellowshipped together. Thanks to the parents, families and other individuals who have supported this annual event and we can't wait for next year!
