Oswaldkirk is a small village and civil parish 4 miles south of Helmsley and 20 miles north of York in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire, England. It is named after the village church of St Oswald, King and Martyr, the Anglo-Saxon King of Northumbria who was slain by the pagan, Penda in 642. There is also a Catholic church, dedicated to St Aidan. The population of the village as taken at the 2011 census was 230.The village is situated on the junction of the B1257 and the B1363 and straddles the boundaries of the North York Moors National Park and the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The International Centre for Birds of Prey, formerly the National Birds of Prey Centre, in the United Kingdom houses a large collection of birds of prey with over 60 species of owls, eagles and hawks. It works towards the conservation of birds of prey through education, captive breeding, research and rehabilitation. The centre is located at Boulsdon near Newent in Gloucestershire. The Director is Jemima Parry-Jones. In March 2013 a new branch was opened at Duncombe Park in Helmsley, North Yorkshire.

Eden Camp Modern History Theme Museum is a large Second World War-related museum near Malton in North Yorkshire in England. It occupies a former Second World War prisoner-of-war camp of 33 huts. After the prisoners left, the camp was used for storage and then abandoned. Its grounds then became overgrown. As the museum was being set up, much clearing, as well as repair and renovation of the buildings, was required. One of its buildings contains three human torpedoes and a Sleeping Beauty Motorised Submersible Canoe. The museum also has a reproduction V1.
