The Last Ship is a new musical with an original score by Grammy Award winner Sting. Inspired by Sting's own childhood experiences, this emotional and stirring production is holding its pre-Broadway tryout in Chicago. The setting is a coastal English seafaring town that has always taken its identity from the soon to be extinct shipbuilding industry that has employed generations of locals. As Sting says: It's a story about community, family, fathers and sons—a symbol of hope. Sting's beautiful lyrics and melodies are truly haunting and destined to become classics. The Last Ship is here until July 13 so make sure to see it before it sails off to Broadway!
