The Great Southern Rail Trail is a 68-kilometre rail trail from Leongatha to Welshpool in South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. This mostly flat or gently undulating trail goes through lush dairy farmland, areas of remnant bush and lowland scrub. It climbs from the foothills of Fish Creek up past Mount Hoddle and then down a steep descent through dense forest out into magnificent views of Wilsons Promontory and Corner Inlet, continuing on to Foster. before ending at Welshpool. The trail is well maintained with a surface of compacted gravel. Koalas Wombats and wallabies can often be seen from the trail particularly in the early mornings and evenings. Toora wind farm is a wind power station at Toora in South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. It is located north of Wilsons Promontory and 150 km SE of Melbourne. The wind farm is on a ridge overlooking the small town of Toora. Toora has 12 wind turbines, each of 1.75 MW rated capacity, with a total generating capacity of 21 MW of electricity. The power station was completed in 2002. As of May 2008, it is owned by Transfield Services Infrastructure Fund. Danish company Vestas Wind Systems, one of the world's largest turbine manufacturers, constructed the wind farm. Good viewing and photography points are available on a road that passes right by the wind farm. Coal Creek is a small recreated town in the South Gippsland area of Victoria, Australia, now essentially a suburb of Korumburra. Black coal was discovered in the area in 1872, and the region subsequently developed an important coal mining industry. The mine at Coal Creek operated from the 1880s to the 1958, when operations ceased. A Post Office was open from 1894 to 1897.Coal Creek Heritage Village, a 15-hectare open-air museum, was established at the site in 1974. Now called Coal Creek Community Park and Museum, the park became an accredited museum in 2014. It is home to many local groups and organisations and has a large education program. A place that I enjoy going to is the beach.. It is seen as a place of relaxation because it is normally quiet and peaceful there. To look around you and see the beauty of mother nature at it's finest. The majority of people you ask will say that it is one of their favorite vacation destinations. Not only for the beauty and relaxation but for the sheer entertainment. That is the three reasons I enjoy it as much as I do.On a supervised excursion with an expert palaeontologist you will see the main dig site, the dinosaur footprint, the caves, earthquake fault lines, fossilised trees and lava from the volcanic intrusion. With patience and luck, you may even find a dinosaur bone!

We love to go to Philip island Every time very close to our home .
George Bass was the first European to visit Western Port on the 5th January 1798 after a voyage down the coast from Port Jackson in a 28ft whale boat. He named it Western Port because it was west of Port Jackson. Sealers soon followed, harvesting the seals on the Bass Strait islands and Seal Rocks near the Nobbies.

These are all a must do when visiting the Prom Country plus tidal river which is at Norman beach which I unfortunately forgot to take footage of. I highly recommended at least doing one of the walks featured in the video such as Mt Oberon(hard) or Pillar Point(easy).
