Beningbrough is a village and civil parish in the Hambleton district of North Yorkshire, England. The population as taken at the 2011 Census was less than 100. Details are included in the civil parish of Shipton, North Yorkshire. Beningbrough village is 6 miles north-west from York city centre. The parish, which includes Beningbrough Hall and Park, is bordered at the south-west by the River Ouse, beyond which is the district of Harrogate. According to the 2001 Census, parish population was 55. Beningbrough is within the ecclesiastical parish of Shipton with Overton. The International Centre for Birds of Prey, formerly the National Birds of Prey Centre, in the United Kingdom houses a large collection of birds of prey with over 60 species of owls, eagles and hawks. It works towards the conservation of birds of prey through education, captive breeding, research and rehabilitation. The centre is located at Boulsdon near Newent in Gloucestershire. The Director is Jemima Parry-Jones. In March 2013 a new branch was opened at Duncombe Park in Helmsley, North Yorkshire.

Beningbrough Hall Dogs Allowed Plus Doggy Ice Cream | Visit York

In an exciting announcement, National Trust property Beningbrough Hall announced that they will now be allowing dogs in their gardens. Beningbrough Hall is a beautiful place to go for a walk, so we took a couple of dogs with us to check it out.

In their Brew House restaurant, they even offer doggy ice cream so your four-legged friend can enjoy a refreshing snack whilst you sit back, having a coffee and some cake.

West Dean Gardens June 2015

A visit to West Dean Gardens in Sussex on a glorious day in June 2015. Previous days had been very stormy and wet, but this day turned out beautiful.
We toured the many glasshouses, the new sunken garden, the loggia and the path down the river.
Apart from the flowers and shrubs note the recently fledged robin, a thrush and goldfinch.
And, YES!!!, that is a Spitfire passing over.

Enchanted wooded parkland, sweeping gardens and a house with a surprise, Dudmaston is something unexpected in the Shropshire countryside. A much loved home for over 875 years you will find the family rooms scattered with photos and perhaps an odd pair of shoes or two peeping out from under a table. The unexpected galleries create a total contrast, with their formal, crisp lines. They were designed by the last owner, Rachel, Lady Labouchere, to house her and her husband’s differing modern and traditional collections of art for the visitor to peruse. The gardens provide amazing vistas and tranquillity while the orchard is the perfect place to relax and for the children to let off steam. For more stunning views and getting up close to nature head to Big Pool and Dingle woods, while the wider estate provides extensive walking routes for year round enjoyment. Dudmaston Hall is the family home of Mr and Mrs Mark Hamilton-Russell.
