Alcuéscar is a municipality located in the province of Cáceres, Extremadura, Spain. The town is on the Silver Route branch of the Camino de Santiago, the pilgrimage trail to the burial place of St. James the Apostle. The most noticeable feature of the small town is a convent and affiliated care facility for the disabled. The convent and church have large gardens.
