The Bicol Region, also known simply as Bicol and historically known as Ibalong prior to Spanish colonization, is a region of the Philippines, designated as Region V. Bicol comprises six provinces, four on the Bicol Peninsula mainland – Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Sorsogon – and the offshore island provinces of Catanduanes and Masbate.The regional center and largest city is Legazpi City. The region is bounded by the Lamon Bay to the north, Philippine Sea to the east, and the Sibuyan Sea and Ragay Gulf to the west. 1. Lignon Hill Nature Park Legazpi
Ligñon Hill is a prominent hill in the city of Legazpi, some 3 kilometers west of its downtown port area in Albay, Philippines. The summit rises to about 512 feet , overlooking the Mayon Volcano to the northwest and the entire city and Albay Gulf to the east. The whole site is managed by the city and provincial government, and has been designated as a Nature Park. Ligñon Hill is a prehistoric cinder cone near the foot of Mayon, some 12 kilometers south-southeast of the volcano's summit. It is mainly composed of dolerite and basaltic volcanic rocks. Except for Mayon Volcano, it is the highest point in the city situated next to the Legazpi Airport in barangay 41 near the city's border with the municipality of Daraga. Sorsogon: Pink Sand Subic Beach, Tikling Island, Juag Lagoon | Sony a6500 GoPro Hero5 DJI Mavic Pro

Sorsogon is the southernmost province in Luzon, Philippines. We went island hopping in Calintaan and Tikling. Subic Beach was everything we heard it would be, and more. Also found some hidden gems in the towns of Bulusan and Barcelona. We explored the biggest AF mangrove forest we’ve ever seen in the town of Prieto Diaz, with a beautiful sandbar as its finishing touch. The 14-hour drive from Manila was worth it. Glad I brought my drone. Enjoy the video! Cheers!

Boracay of Bicol | Poro Beach, Camarines Sur Bicol

Hi Everyone,

I was so lucky to explore Bicol for a week and damn it keeps on surprising me!

We have discovered this beach called Poro Beach- it's 2 hrs away from Naga City but it was all worth the hefty travel.
We used a van to get there note that the road going there is bad there's a part there where there's a mountain of soil on the side of the road. There are also deep craters on the road.

You have to take a boat ride for 1/2 hour which will cost you P100 each. The cottages are P300 to rent. It's so cheap! But you have to note that there is only one washroom and it's not clean because there's a lot of goat poop on the floor! So come with your swim clothes and get ready to go home with the same clothes. Bring your own food too because there's no stores on the actual beach.

The water is so clean!!! be wary of pink jelly fish - we're not sure if they sting we didn't get stung, but just be wary of them.

I hope you get to visit this amazing place!
