Destination: Seligenstadt
This is an HD remake of an old video of mine, which also contained a small error. The town of Seligenstadt has a long history and contains the bones of some minor saints.

Destination: Frankfurt am Main
Germany's fifth largest city and one of Europe's most important financial centres, Frankfurt is a modern city with ancient roots. From the timberframed houses on the Römerberg to the gleaming skyscrapers of the banking district, it bears the marks of the passing of the centuries.

Destination: Hanau
The city of Hanau, the birthplace of the brothers Grimm, is not the most beautiful place in Germany. It does, however, have a fascinating history.

Destination 2017: Ratzeburg
The town of Ratzeburg lies on an island in a lake in the far north of Germany. It has a stupidly complicated history, some tenuous connections with the British royal family and is a great venue for the bluffer's guide to architectural styles.

Geheimnisvolle Burg Linn

Destination: Eberbach Monastery & Niederwald Monument
A visit to the film set for The Name of the Rose, and a famous national monument perched high above the river Rhine. Also, the story of an evil archbishop cannibalised by rodents, and an enchanted cave in reverse.

Jahrhundert durch Erbschaft an Hessen fiel / Castle Auerbach on the Hessian Bergstrasse, the western fringe of the Odenwald forest mountain region in central Germany, is a breathtaking medieval castle built in the High Middle Ages by the Rhine Franconian counts of Katzenelnbogen. When this noble Frankish lineage died out in the 15th century, its territory and title was inherited by the Landgraves of Hesse-Darmstadt.
