Leaving Paris, France: FAMILY VACATION | Travel with Me
Travel with me to France with my family for our summer vacation! Driving from Paris through various cities en route to Dordogne France.
Gorges du verdon in France Part I - Route Trigance to Sentier Martel
Gorges du Verson is a vast expanse of gorges/canyon in south-eastern France. It offers water streams, mountians and scenic points. I like to cover route to Gorges du Verdon and Sentier Market, a famous trek spot in this video. I started this trip from Aex en Provence reached Trigance adn then further to D955 to reach D23A. In my next video (Part II), I will cover key road circuits such as D952 and D23 as there are several
important view points in gorges du verdon and then drive down on D957 to lake St. Croix.
Verdon Gorge is a river canyon in southeastern France. Carved by the Verdon River, it has white-water rapids and cliffs. Paths include the Blanc-Martel trail, ending at Point Sublime lookout. Within Verdon Natural Regional Park, the village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie has 12th-century Notre Dame de Beauvoir Chapel and ceramics at the Musée de la Faïence. South, the Musée des Tourneurs sur Bois shows local wood work.
Gorges du Verdon is about two hours by car fro Aix en Provence and it is a vast span offers trekking opportunities, water sports and scenic view points. It is important to have a plan (map) and Gorges du verson can be best covered from Trigance town. First point you can get closer is on the road Carajuan Camping spot where water front looks amazing in the mountain backdrop. Thereon several view points ( next in 400 mts after turn). Split your program in to route segments. First one is D23A that will lead to Sentier Martel, a famous trek route with water sports. Sentier Martel can take all day if you want to extensively cover it. After you come out of Sentier Martel proceed on D952 to take right turn on to D23 (Don't miss as this entry gives best view points in the right order). Then proceed to D23 route circuit is about 23 km with amazing view points and then joins back (after a circular drive) on D952 in the twon La Palud du verdon.

Places to see in ( Biscarrosse - France )
Places to see in ( Biscarrosse - France )
Biscarrosse is a town on the Atlantic coast of southwest France. It’s known for its lakes and beaches. Maguide and Navarrosse beaches dot the shoreline of the vast, shallow north lake, along with the water slides of AquaPark. On the south lake, vintage seaplanes are on display at the Musée de l’Hydraviation. Cycle paths and trails cross the surrounding forests and dunes to wide, sandy surf beaches like Vivier Beach.
Biscarrosse is a commune in the Landes department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southwestern France. It is located 65 km (40 mi) southwest of Bordeaux, and 10 km (6.2 mi) inland from the seaside resort of Biscarrosse-Plage on the Atlantic coast. Near Biscarrosse is the CEL (national test centre) from which numerous French military rockets have been launched for test purposes. Likewise, the CEL has facilities for launching civilian rockets to study the upper atmosphere.
Near the town centre, outside the Café de l'orme, there was what is believed to have been the oldest elm tree in Europe. Planted in 1350, this Field Elm Ulmus minor died in 2010 after finally succumbing to Dutch elm disease. Legend has it that girls deemed promiscuous were forced to stand naked upon a barrel beneath the tree for a day. One unfortunate, unjustly accused, died of shame, the tree annually producing a corona of blanched leaves in her memory. The commune has an airport, called Biscarrosse - Parentis Airport.
Biscarrosse is a popular seaside resort on the Atlantic coast south of Arcachon in south-west France. The coastal resort is called Biscarrosse Plage although locals and French people often refer to the resort as Bisca. There are several distinct parts to Biscarrosse: the beach resort, the town itself and the lake. The town is a few kilometres away from the beaches and is a popular tourist resort in its own right as it is on the edge of Biscarrosse lake.
There is a 15th century castle and a church that are of historical interest, but most important - don't miss the 'Biscarrosse Elm'. At 750 years old it is the oldest in Europe, and one of the few to avoid Dutch Elm disease. It's in pretty rough looking condition, but so would you be if you were that old. There are actually two large leisure lakes here : the Etang de Biscarrosse et de Parentis (to the south) and the Etang de Cazaux et de Sanguinet (to the north), with Biscarrosse town between them. The lakes are popular for learning sailing, windsurfing and water-skiing as well as to soak up the sun on sandy beaches. The lakes are also ideal if the surfing waves on the beach become too much for small children - the lake also has extensive beaches.
Next to the Atlantic Ocean is the resort of Biscarrosse Plage. The focus here is of course on enjoying the ocean but you also have the chance for shopping and eating out: mostly in gift shops and fast-food restaurants. The beach, like many on the Atlantic ocean, is a lovely long sandy beach which stretches as far as the eye can see. The beach has an area which is watched by lifeguards during the summer season - stay within the flags - and gets quite crowded (as in the photo below), while the rest of the beach is generally quiet.
( Biscarrosse - France ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Biscarrosse . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Biscarrosse - France
