The Château de Marqueyssac is a 17th-century gardens located at Vézac, in the Dordogne Department of France. The château was built at the end of the 17th century by Bertrand Vernet de Marqueyssac, Counselor to Louis XIV, on cliffs overlooking the Dordogne Valley. The boxwood trees plantation works started way back in 1860’s which have been carved in magnificent shape, and several in groups of rounded shapes like flocks of sheep. Therefore; with the passage of time several new plants added in the gardens, like linden trees, cypress trees, and stone pine from Italy, and the cyclamen from Naples.

Lost Gardens of Heligan, Cornwall, England
The Heligan’s gardens were unknown twenty-five years ago; they ere covered by a tangle of weeds, and therefore hidden and unseen. Fortunately, someone discovered an old door in the ruins. Today this once great estate is restored and these historic Lost Gardens are among the finest gardens in England.

Château de Marqueyssac is located in the Dordogne region, small town of Vézac, attracts travelers to France due to its tourist attractions - the ancient castle Markizyak and its surrounding grand garden , consisting of a maze of boxwood shrubs that gardeners gave correct and fanciful geometric shapes. Provincial town Vézac (Fr. Vézac) in France is known worldwide for its extraordinary gardens. A unique park landscape, the ancient castle of the 17th century, an observation deck with stunning views of the valley - a place that attracts endless streams of tourists and locals.
From the height on which the romantic castle Markizyak, open beauty of the picturesque valley. The real highlight of the garden of the castle can be called Markizyak Dordogne belvedere - a unique viewing platform, which offers great views of the meandering river flowing in the valley. Marqueyssac Castle was founded in the 17th century and was originally built as a residence for the rest, but its construction treated as the creation of a powerful fortress.
