Terrasson-Lavilledieu is a commune in the Dordogne department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southwestern France. The Gardens of the Imagination —classified as a remarkable garden by the French Ministry of Culture—are situated in Terrasson. It was designed in 1996 by landscape architect Kathryn Gustafson to present thirteen tableaux of the myths and legends of the history of gardens. It uses simple natural elements; trees, flowers, water and stone to suggest the passage of mankind from nature to agriculture to the city. It uses a symbolic sacred wood, a rose garden, topiary art, and fountains to tell the story.

2. Lascaux II Montignac
Lascaux is the setting of a complex of caves near the village of Montignac, in the department of Dordogne in southwestern France. Over 600 parietal wall paintings cover the interior walls and ceilings of the cave. The paintings represent primarily large animals, typical local and contemporary fauna that correspond with the fossil record of the Upper Paleolithic time. The drawings are the combined effort of many generations, and with continued debate, the age of the paintings is estimated at around 17,000 years . Lascaux was inducted into the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list in 1979, as element of the Prehistoric Sites and Decorated Caves of the Vézère Valley.

The Château des Milandes is a manor house in the commune of Castelnaud-la-Chapelle in the Dordogne département of France. Built by Francois de Caumont around 1489, it was, until 1535, the main house of the lords of Caumont, who preferred to live in this manor house instead of the large, uncomfortable medieval castle of Château de Castelnaud-la-Chapelle. In 1940, the entertainer Josephine Baker rented the château and then bought it in 1947.It has been listed as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture since 1986.

Escapade en Dordogne (Périgord Noir)

C'est au crépuscule de l'été 2016 que nous posons notre baluchon en Dordogne, dans le Périgord Noir. De Sarlat à La Roque-st-Christophe, en passant par Beynac ou encore La Roque-Gageac, nous partirons à la découverte d'une région authentique, au passé millénaire parfaitement conservé. Nous emprunterons également les chemins de traverse et nous enfoncerons jusqu'aux confins de la vallée de la Vézère, où la très singulière maison forte de Reignac nous ouvrira ses portes. De contes en légendes, cet édifice de plus de 700 ans aimante encore l'attention, bien au-delà des frontières du Périgord. Villes et villages séculaires nous escorterons donc au gré de notre petite escapade. Bienvenue en Dordogne...

Prachtig gelegen mooi groot (max 10 personen)vakantiehuis op de rand van de Dordogne/Correze met zwembad, buitenkeuken, 2 badkamers, 2 aparte wc's, 5 slaapkamers. Comfortabel ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien, zoals Nederlandse TV, Wifi, barbeque, amerikaanse koelkast met waterfilter etc.
Prachtig uitzicht, 's avonds kijken naar de lichtjes van het plaatsje Terrasson-levilledieu. Zwembad met jacuzzi bij trapgedeelte en tegenstroom.
