Ghost towns - Oradour-sur-Glane, France
On 10 June 1944, the village of Oradour-sur-Glane in Haute-Vienne in then Nazi-occupied France was destroyed, when 642 of its inhabitants, including women and children, were massacred by a Nazi Waffen-SS company. The men were gunned down with machine guns and then set alight. The Nazis then burned down the village church in which 500 women and children had taken shelter. Every house was then torched to ensure that no one could escape.
A new village was built nearby after the war, but French president Charles de Gaulle ordered the original maintained as a permanent memorial and museum. The village has been left in ruins as a reminder of the horrific deeds humans can commit in times of war.

French Medieval VIllages
Many medieval villages dot the French Riviera. This video highlights several. We start with St Paul de Vence and the Maeght Foundation. Then on to Eze, Mougins, and Peillon. The background music is French Kiss, by Akmusique and Salon de Musique, by Lemongrass. If you like the music, buy it. I did !
Chateau Lumiere URBEX - France
In the Alsace region of France, sits an awesome abandoned building. There's an amazing hallway which you come in on. There used to be a massive mirror at the end which would open up the place even more. But vandals have since smashed it. There are 4 floors altogether. In this video you see all of them including the 2 bathrooms up the first flight of stairs. There was lots of great stuff in the basement too, including a newspaper from Wednesday 25th August 1982. I'm guessing that's when this place was abandoned.
