Murten Switzerland Travel Guide
A travel guide for visiting the town of Murten Morat in Swirtzerland. In this video I'll tell you everything you need to know to visit Murten. Murten is an 800 year old medieval town that has Switzerlands only preserved city wall that you can walk all the way around. Murten is situated up on a hill above Lake Murten. Trains run hourly to Murten from Bern and take approximately 38 minutes.

Travel from Erstfeld to Altdorf in Canton Uri, Switzerland
Come on a journey from Erstfeld to Altdorf, Switzerland. This video was filmed on 31 March 2019, while traveling through Canton Uri. You will see the River Reuss throughout the video as well as beautiful views of the Swiss Alps. Passing through these towns is a famous Highway (Autobahn) from Lucerne to Lugano built in 1980. Besides car travel, there are also plenty of options for hiking and biking trails. This area is especially beautiful because of the old farms that dot the landscape. Their architecture is especially interesting, as it reflects the history and culture of Switzerland. A small cable car (Luftseilbahn), will transport small groups of tourists up to even better views of the alps. Another notable feature of this area is Rega, the Swiss air ambulance, which is located in the northern part of Erstfeld. While this journey is not filled with tourists it is still an attractive place for tourists to visit. Along the journey you will see truck stop Gotthard, part of a trail in the tunnel. This tour ends in Railway Station Altdorf. The center of Altdorf is only about 1 km from the railway station, but after a long day of touring, taking the train makes sense for many ambitious visitors.

Join us on the world-famous Glacier Express for the journey of a lifetime along the backbone of the Swiss Alps. We travel with the Brig-Visp-Zermatt, Furka-Oberalp and Rhaetian Railway companies from Zermatt to St. Moritz.
Our journey begins at Zermatt, the mountain resort dominated by the distinctive peak of the Matterhorn. We admire the spectacular panoramic views from the top of the Gornergrat before joining the train for the ride along the scenic BVZ line to the Rhone valley. At Brig we take the opportunity to visit the Stockalper palace, before journeying along the spectacular FO line through the lush countryside of the Goms region. We break our journey to visit the magnificent Aletsch Glacier, and the picturesque village of Ernen.
Further along the route we poss through the Furka Tunnel to emerge into the wild Urseren valley. At Andermatt we make a diversion along the formidable Schöllenen Gorge before rejoining the train for a fabulous winter run through deep snow as the track snakes up the mountainside. We continue our summer expedition at the Oberalp pass, the summit of the line.

Curzútt and the Tibetan Bridge Carasc
This four-hour walk in the hills along the right bank of the Ticino River, in the region facing the Magadino Plain, boasts several points of interest. A long trail winding amidst vineyards and wineries offering some of the best Merlot from the Ticino area; a visit to the old and beautifully restored housing cluster of Curzútt, testifying to the time when daily life mainly revolved around hillside activities; discovery of the Romanesque church of San Bernardo, featuring a number of beautiful frescoes and, finally, the thrill of crossing one of the longest Tibetan bridges in Switzerland (270 metres).

Gerade mal 280 Meter trennen den kleinen Weiler Mühlebach im Obergoms von der Hauptstrasse und dem Bahnhof im Nachbarsort. 280 Meter Luftlinie, die lange unüberwindbar waren und einen 30 minütigen Umweg erforderlich machten. Bis mit Unterstützung der Berghilfe vor zwei Jahren eine Hängebrücke zwischen Mühlebach und Fürgangen gebaut wurde. Die „Hängebrigga“ ist heute für viele Mühlebacher sozusagen das Tor zur Welt – und sie hat gleichzeitig neues Leben in das kleine Walliser Dorf gebracht. Dank der zahlreicheren Besucher sind neue Angebote entstanden, wie etwa das Bed and Breakfast von Familie Kummer.

33. Operagebouw van Zürich
Zürich Opera House (Duits: Das Opernhaus Zürich) is een opera in Zürich, gelegen nabij het Bellevue, en werd geopend in 1891. Het theater werd gebouwd ter vervanging van het Aktientheater Theater (Oud Theater) dat bezweek aan een brand . De oorspronkelijke naam was Stadttheater. De architecten waren het gerenommeerde Weense advocatenkantoor Fellner & Helmer. Aanvankelijk bedacht voor gesproken en gezongen theater, na de opening van het Zürich Schauspielhaus, was het beperkt tot de representatie van opera, operettes en ballet.
30. Klooster van St. John (Müstair)
Het klooster van San Juan is een voormalige benedictijnenabdij gelegen in Müstair, Zwitserland. Het is opgedragen aan Johannes de Doper. Sinds 1983 is het opgenomen in de UNESCO-lijst van werelderfgoedsites vanwege de buitengewone cyclus van fresco's uit de Karolingische periode (9de eeuw) die erin zijn bewaard. De abdij werd rond 780 gesticht door bisschop Chur. In 1167 werd het omgevormd tot een vrouwenklooster. Tijdens de restauraties die in de 20e eeuw werden uitgevoerd, werden romaanse fresco's gevonden, daterend uit het jaar 1160.

27. Kerk van St. Peter van Zürich
De kerk van St. Peter (Duits: Peterskirche) is een van de vier belangrijkste kerken van het oude Zürich. De andere drie zijn de Grossmünster, de Fraumünster en de Predigerkirche. Het ligt naast Lindenhof, het oude Romeinse fort in dezelfde ruimte waar ooit een tempel stond die aan Jupiter was gewijd. Archeologen hebben overblijfselen gevonden van een kleine kerk op 10 bij 7 meter van de achtste of negende eeuw. Dit eerste gebouw werd rond het jaar 1000 vervangen door een vroege Romaanse kerk. In 1230 werd deze kerk vervangen door een andere in de laat-romaanse stijl, hoewel delen van de eerste nog steeds overeind blijven. Het hoofdschip werd in 1460 in gotische stijl herbouwd. De eerste burgemeester van Zürich, Rudolf Brunn, werd hier begraven in het jaar 1360. Tot 1911 werd de klokkentoren, een van de hoogste in Zürich, gebruikt voor vuurmonitoring.
