What's going on here?
We quit our jobs, left New York City, bought a car, and decided to spend the summer driving around the US and Canada. The plan is to hit at least 35 states and 3 provinces and cover more than 10,000 miles. Watch from the beginning here:

Our Gear:
Canon G7X Mark II: (it’s amazing and basically sees in the dark)
Canon G7X: (the original is almost as good, but less expensive)
Joby Gorillapod: (fantastic versatile bendy tripod – this is the slightly smaller “action” version that’s easier to travel with and comes with a mount for a camera and a gopro)
Macbook Air: (we edit everything on Final Cut Pro on a Macbook Air, which is light and easy to travel with)
External Hard Drive: (the videos are a little too big for the macbook air to handle, so I edit everything off an external hard drive)

Stay Away From Cuervo New Mexico
Welcome to Cuervo New Mexico. A ghost town on I-40 that is a way point for the criminal underworld. Once a vibrant town, Cuervo has been frequented by cross country drug runners, human traffickers, Satanic cults and even a possible serial rapist. Cuervo was economically devastated after I-40 replaced Route 66 in the 1960’s. The post office finally closed in 2011. As the town dried up and the majority of it’s inhabitants left, truly evil things moved in to replace the once wholesome environment.
I don’t suggest hanging out there at all. Even if nothing criminal is going on, the few locals in the area are NOT friendly.

Exploring The Abandoned Municipal Free - MacArthur Bridge in St. Louis MO Route 66
More Route 66 adventure here:
Join me as we take an in depth look on top of the remaining sections of the Municipal Free Bridge, or sometimes referred to as the MacArthur Bridge. Right now the bridge deck that once carried Route 66 is being dismantled and removed permanently by the TRRA (Terminal Rail Road Association). This video serves to immortalize the current images of an often overlooked landmark in St. Louis and Route 66.
In my best estimation estimation, road decking that is directly above the rail section will be removed. I have exhaustively tried reaching out to the public relations department of the TRRA with no response.
We used a number of different methods to attain the best footage possible. We even employed a quad copter or a drone equipped with an HD camera to get our aerial shots.
Enjoy!

In Part Two of my Route 66 Ghost Town travels, I drive my 29’ Class C RV ten miles on a dirt road to explore an abandoned section of old route 66 in New Mexico from San Jon, New Mexico toward Glenrio, Texas. I explore Glenrio on foot and discover it’s the town where Steinbeck’s Grapes of Wrath was filmed, has a railroad history and lots of abandoned houses, stores and hotels!
