Norris Edwin Bradbury , was an American physicist who served as Director of the Los Alamos National Laboratory for 25 years from 1945 to 1970. He succeeded Robert Oppenheimer, who personally chose Bradbury for the position of director after working closely with him on the Manhattan Project during World War II. Bradbury was in charge of the final assembly of the Gadget, detonated in July 1945 for the Trinity test. Bradbury took charge at Los Alamos at a difficult time. The monument is a unit of the BLM's National Conservation Lands.

Acoma Pueblo is a Native American pueblo approximately 60 miles west of Albuquerque, New Mexico in the United States. Four villages make up Acoma Pueblo: Sky City , Acomita, Anzac, and McCartys. The Acoma Pueblo tribe is a federally recognized tribal entity. The historical land of Acoma Pueblo totaled roughly 5,000,000 acres . The community retains only 10% of this land, making up the Acoma Indian Reservation. Acoma Pueblo is a National Historic Landmark. According to the 2010 United States Census, 4,989 people identified as Acoma. The Acoma have continuously occupied the area for over 2000 years, making this one of the oldest continuously inhabited communities in the United States . Acoma tribal traditions estimate that they have lived in the village for more than two thousand years.

Valles Caldera is a 13.7-mile wide volcanic caldera in the Jemez Mountains of northern New Mexico. Hot springs, streams, fumaroles, natural gas seeps and volcanic domes dot the caldera floor landscape. The highest point in the caldera is Redondo Peak, an 11,253-foot resurgent lava dome located entirely within the caldera. Also within the caldera are several grass valleys [Valle] the largest of which is Valle Grande , the only one accessible by a paved road. Much of the caldera is within the Valles Caldera National Preserve, a unit of the National Park System.

New Mexico part 2 Santa Fe and Taos:

After breakfast at the Burrito Company, we visit Bandelier National Monument and admire the well-preserved pueblo cliff dwellings abandoned by the natives centuries ago. Then we drive to Taos and visit the main plaza, enjoy some wine tasting and settle in to the Taos Inn in the heart of town, easy walking distance to the attractions. The ski slopes in Taos offer trails for all levels, including our beginner attempts, which were so much fun we went back a second day.

Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone | Hot Air Balloon Ride in New Mexico | Family Travel Vlog 15

When I decided to go on a trip to Gallup, New Mexico I honestly didn't know what to expect. From the incredible landscape to the kindness of the community, Gallup proved to be a hidden gem for travelers in the United States looking for an authentic travel experience.

Not only did I face my fears and step out of my comfort zone by traveling without the family, I also faced my fears trying something I never thought I would do. While I can't say I loved the Hot Air Balloon ride, I am proud that I pushed myself to try it.
