Floating down the river Isar is a popular thing to do in Munich & usually lots of beer is involved.
Munich Airport - South Observation Hill - 28.05.2018
South hill by car. Destination: Oberding/Navi: 85399 Hallbergmoos, Eger-Strasse. From Munich, highway A92 exit Hallbergmoos, at exit end with traffic light turn left into Ismaninger Strasse/road B301, at roundabout turn left into Ludwigstrasse, turn left at cross with Theresienstrasse and STOP sign, approaching Tierhotel/Eger-Strasse. Hill on right road side, many parking places. Constraints: - Standing on the hill, trees obstruct left and right view on south runway. Lower position or on the bridge at gate 110 advisable. Pros: - sun light in the back.
Starts & landings always against wind direction, check daily for actually assigned runway.
Emirates A388s daily start on south and land on north runway.
Lufthansa A388s start respectively land daily, often from resp. on north runway, but this is subject to changing.
Alternatives:
- Besucherpark, by S1/S8, 1€ for entrance.
- Terrace in Terminal 2, not an option because of glass wall !

Vienna is filled with amazing architecture. We had a great time experiencing the many wide streets of this beautiful city. We found it appropriate to use a Mozart song on this video since he is from Austria.
