La Léchère is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. It is situated in the Isère valley, between Albertville and Moûtiers. It was formed in 1972 by the merger of the former communes Notre-Dame-de-Briançon, Celliers, Doucy, Naves, Petit-Cœur and Pussy.

Col de la Madeleine is a high mountain pass in the Alps in the department of Savoie in France which connects La Chambre in Maurienne with La Léchère in Tarentaise. The pass is closed from November to the beginning of June. It has been described as beautiful, but heartbreaking.

Doucy Combelouviere and Valmorel are both situated in the Savoy region of France and are the perfect spot for people who love both mountains and nature. There is a protected nature reserve in this area and the architecture blends in well with it's surroundings. Valmorel is a car free resort and the area is known for its many varied activities. There is a wellness centre and there are many events spread throughout the season. There is the Noel Magique during Christmas, a « semaine musicale » in March and a special film festival for mountaineering fans in April. The skiing area has amongst others border cross, snow zone, off piste, heliski. Also come and try the new speed flying (related to paragliding and skiing). Other activities that are on offer are raquette apéro'', a tour around the bars on snowshoes or sledges.
