Les Marécottes is a village in the Swiss Alps, located in the canton of Valais. The village is situated in the western part of the canton, in the Trient valley, near Martigny, at a height of 1,110 metres. It belongs to the municipality of Salvan. Les Marécottes is a year-round popular tourist destination. Attractions include an Alpine zoo, a granite-carved swimming pool and a gondola climbing to La Creusaz , on the southern flanks of the Luisin. In winter the village also includes a ski area. Les Marécottes is served by the Martigny–Châtelard Railway.

1. Trümmelbachfälle Lauterbrunnen
The Trümmelbach Falls in Switzerland are a series of ten glacier-fed waterfalls inside the mountain made accessible by a tunnel-funicular, built 1913, stairs, and illumination. Located in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, the creek called Trümmelbach alone drains the glacier defiles of Eiger , Mönch , and Jungfrau and carries more than 20,000 tons of boulder detritus per year.Its drainage area is 24 square kilometres , half of it covered by snow and glaciers. The falls carry up to 20,000 litres of water per second.After the hamlet of the same name on the valley floor the Trümmelbach feed into the Weisse Lütschine, which heads north through the valley and the village of Lauterbrunnen further down to join after 7 kilometres its sister river, the Schwarze Lütschine at Zweilütschinen, where the...

Lauterbrunnen is a village and a municipality in the Interlaken-Oberhasli administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. The municipality comprises the major Lauterbrunnen Valley , the Soustal, the Sefinental, the upper Lauterbrunnen Valley with Untersteinberg including several glaciers, such as the Tschingelfirn and the Rottalgletscher, many Alpine meadows and peaks, such as Schilthorn, Bietenhorn, Schwarzmönch, and Silberhorn, and finally the villages Lauterbrunnen, Wengen, Mürren, Gimmelwald, Stechelberg, and Isenfluh, and several hamlets. The population of the village Lauterbrunnen is less than that of Wengen, but larger than that of the others.

Van het Bodenmeer naar het meer van Genève loopt een van de mooiste wandelroutes van Zwitserland: de Alpenpanoramaweg. Van de 500 kilometer lange wandeling liep ik er 160. Een prachtige wandeltocht door het lieflijke Appenzellerland en het ruigere Centraal-Zwitserland. Met altijd op de achtergrond de adembenemende drie- en vierduizenders van de Alpen. Binntal en Blinnetal in Wallis Zwitserland puur natuur

Zwitserland is puur natuur, we brachten 3 weken door in Wallis, vanuit Ritzingen verkenden we de omgeving. Zo bezochten we enkele keren het wondermooie Binntal, bij Reckingen het schitterende Blinnetal, met veel bloemen en vlinders en een hardstromende beek. Helaas vonden we het pad enkele malen versperd door een sneeuwlawine, maar dat namen we op de koop toe.
Wallis wat ben je mooi.

Martigny - Vallorcine (6/8: Finhaut - Le Châtelard)

Vidéo du trajet de Martigny à Vallorcine, en cabine de la BDeh 4/8 823/824 (c'est une Z800 dans la nomenclature française). Cette ligne s'appelle le Martigny-Châtelard, ou Mont-Blanc Express.

Un grand merci au personnel des TMR (Transports de Martigny et Régions), qui sont vraiment très sympatiques.
