Christmas Markets have a long tradition in Germany and despite the horrendously increasing prices, they're still beautiful to explore.
The annual Christmas Market in Ulm (or Ulmer Weihnachtsmarkt) features about 130 stalls and is located right next to Ulm Minster (Ulmer Münster) which features the currently highest church tower in the world. Ulm is also Albert Einstein's birthplace and conveniently situated between Stuttgart and Munich, it makes for a great place to visit when in Southern Germany.
