In fact, in Michigan, you are never more than a few hours from a Great Lake, of which the state has four. Apple trees, blueberry farms, and cherry festivals are notorious in Michigan.
Now that I've whet your appetite, let me give you a few specific places in Michigan that you'll absolutely want to go visit. Whether you've been to Michigan before or are thinking about taking a trip for the first time, you won't want to miss these incredible spots.

Ghost Town in Michigan's Upper Peninsula
Super IGA Store near Watson, Michigan. Located in Marquette, County near Delta County. A very remote area in my opinion this building is located on a County road. As it has been stated a number of times in the comments. THIS PROPERTY HAS AN OWNER. DO NOT attempt to enter the property or trespass in any way. The local residents do not consider it a ghost town either. When we drove through we were coming from the general direction of Escanaba and headed to Marquette. We ended up taking this scenic drive through the area. I wanted to post this to preserve a bit of history.

I'm Alison and I'm married to an amazing guy named Luke. We're currently trying to get pregnant, and we're trusting God on this journey. Oh and my favorite animal is my German Shorthaired Pointer Sadie! I love connecting with other women because I think community and supporting one another is very important. If you have any video suggestions, feel free to leave them in the comments!

South Haven | Under the Radar | Pure Michigan
Visit to learn more.
South Haven is one of Michigan's best boating communities. Vibrant year-round, the town is a quintessential, classic beachtown. Featuring the world's largest musical fountain, a boardwalk, beautiful beaches, lighthouses, a historic downtown and much more, South Haven is a town that you'll never want to leave. Even though some of it's best features are present in the summer, be sure to check out the town in the Fall for an equally beautiful and unique experience.
Ep. 8: Exploring Michigan's Wild Upper Peninsula
We drive Grace, our 2004 Peterbilt 387 semi, across the Mighty Mackinaw Bridge into Michigan's Upper Peninsula (the UP). We visit Tahquamenon Falls and take in the beauty of her copper-colored waters, then continue on north to the town of Munising on the shores of Lake Huron. There, we find a place to camp for the night at Otter Lake, then meet friends in Munising and rent a pontoon boat for the afternoon. We cruise out onto the waters of Lake Huron and take in the beauty of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
We want to thank our friends Chris and Barb, who have the YouTube channel Midlife Journey, for organizing this trip and lining up the boat.
