Moi! Welcome to Savukoski in Lapland, Finland! In this video, Siya and I learn all the ways Finnish people use reindeer and we row 110 km down the Kemijoki river in a church boat.

Hike to the top of Sarkitunturi (Lapland, Finland)

To the summit of Sarkitunturi , near Muonio in Finnish Lapland.
We went up in fine weather, comfortable temperature, very cloudy but dry for almost the entire trip. A minute before we reached the car, it started raining.

The trail starts at the large layby on the shore of Särkijärvi lake. The trail starts at the other side of the road, where there is a smaller parking place. The trail is not marked, but it is such a well made trail that you can't miss it at all. You don't need a map or anything.
