Dakotah Meadows RV Park at Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake Minnesota provides full hookup RV sites in a manicured setting. All paved roads with concrete pull thru and backin sites the park is favored by an older RV audience looking for a laid back quiet place to park for a while. The location has all the amenities one would expect at a nice RV park including small store, multiple shower houses, laundry, playground and walking paths. There is a free shuttle service 24 hours a day taking guests over to the casino. In addition there is an onsite RV storage yard, fuel station (with diesel) and auto wash area for cars and RVs.
Although the property is part of the casino area it is maintained as a separate entity so guests of the RV park are unable to enjoy or take advantage of the resort hotel pools or amenities. Guests are welcome to visit and enjoy the casino in the same manner as any non-resort guest with access to gambling, entertainment, and dining. As part of the property there is also an ice skating arena, kids daycare and play area, and full scale gym (all additional fees).
Dakotah Meadows RV Park at Mystic Lake Casino is one of the nicer places to stay in the Minneapolis metro area and is therefore popular and often full. Advanced reservations are encouraged. The park does allow long term stays but with strict rules on keeping the site and units looking non-permanent. The RV nightly rates start at $40 for pull thrus and are higher for backins (not sure why but that is how they do it).
Lastly there are a handful of genuine plains Indian tepees available for nightly stays. Set up on pee gravel the tepees are a unique way to spend a night but come un-furnished and the floors are pea gravel (bring blankets or cots). Each site, including the tepees, has a picnic table and fire ring.
Located in the center of the RV park is a small pond that sits as a visual attraction more than anything else. Ringed by fox-tail brush you are unable to get to a usable shoreline.
Dakotah Meadows RV Park at Mystic Lake Casino is set in a rural area and is accessible via county roads. Just south of a suburban area guests are within a short drive of shopping and restaurants.
Additional note: In a large parking lot just across from the RV park the casino maintains a large vehicle parking area. This area is used by big-rigs and RVers for free parking. Better than a Walmart it offers free overnight parking. This parking lot is not associated with the RV park and is administered by Mystic Lake Casino; checkin with their security for additional details.

Sunny Brook Park - Ghost Hunt (Wadena, MN)
A short, yet rather active investigation at the Sunny Brook Park in Wadena, MN. This park is located next to a nursing home that is widely rumored to be haunted. Could we have encountered some spirits of the countless residents that have died there?

My North Shore Camping Trip / Duluth Minnesota / Travel MN
The family and I went on one of our annual camping trips up on the North Shore of Lake Superior near Duluth. We went hiking on the trails at Gooseberry Falls, took in the scenery of waterfalls and bluffs, and had a swim in the river. Then at night we went back to our campsite and enjoyed some good food and a bonfire before we tucked into our tents. I hope you enjoy the beautiful scenery of the North Shore! ; )
