Best place to relax I have ever visited in north Thailand
Phitsanulok พิษณุโลก is an important, historic city in lower northern Thailand and is the capital of Phitsanulok Province, which stretches all the way to the Laotian border. On the banks of the Nan River, the city was originally a small Khmer outpost known as Song Kwae, before the Khwae Noi River changed its course in the 11th century CE. The Khwae Noi River แม่น้ำแควน้อย is a river in northern Thailand. It shares the same name as another river in Thailand, the popular tourist attraction also known as The River Kwai. These are two distinct bodies of water. About 1 hour ride from Phitsanulok in direction East and you will end up in the forest were you can find a beautiful place close to a dam where small tiny houses are placed on both side's of the river. You can rent a picnic house (Baht 300) and enjoy various sorts of fresh Thaifood. There is no parking fee. I haven't met any foreigner as I was there. Opening hours are from 8am - 6pm during hot season.

Dragon temple in thailand วัดบ้านถ้ำ amazing Wat Ban Tham
Wat Baan Tham is located at Khao Noi Sub District, Tha Muang District, Kanchanaburi. It is only five kilometers far from Wat Tham Sua if you take Mae Nam Mae Klong road. The stairs which will bring you to the cave give you a feel like you are walking through a mouth of a dragon. There is one stalactite inside the cave which somehow looks like a women body. It was named after Bua Kli who is a wife of Khun Paen in a legend Thai folklore, Khun Chang Khun Phaen.
Wat Baan Tham is an ancient temple which carried down for many generations. The rear area of the temple lies next to the mountains while the front lies next to Mae Klong river. There is one beautiful strand near the entrance of the temple. The mountain where Wat Baan Tham stands on is 200 meters high. The mountain is wide and long to the north western side and ends at Khao Laem and Khao Tok Tham Mangkon Thong Pak. The cave is the place where Phra Buddha Chinnarat and the stalactite of Bua Kli placed.
It has been said in the history that this temple was first built in the reign of Sukhothai. The cave was discovered by a rich man. Later, he decided to invite Luang Po Thong, the first abbot, to stay over here as the cave looks nice with the winds blowing all day long. Luang Po Thong was a very well-known monk and he pet one of a Magpie bird and taught it about how to speak. Thus, presently, you can still spot Magpie birds around the cave and the surrounding area.
Sacred objects and places which any visitors should not miss at any reasons:
- The old Buddhist sanctuary which is where the Buddha image in the attitude of meditation stays together with Mokkallana and Saributr statues.
- The new Buddhist sanctuary which is where the imitate of Phra Buddha Chinnarat, that was made at Wat Che Pa Khaow, Phitsanulok, installed.
- Tham Ku Ha Mangkorn Sawan or Tham Bua Kli where the holy yet well-known Phra Buddha Chinnarat installed.
- Many more caves await you to discover such as Tham Man Vichitr, Tham Khun Paen, Tham Dok Jok, Tham Dusit, Tham Muen Han, Tham Nang Nual and Tham Nang Norn.
If you reach at the peak of the mountain, you will be impressed by the stunning views of greenish mountains and trees which can somehow take your breath away.

Phetchabun, Thailand the Top Things To Do
Owing to its relatively cool climate, fresh air and Alpine terrain, Phetchabun is known as the ‘Thai Alps’ or ‘little Switzerland’. The province borders the North, Central and Northeast regions of Thailand and makes a worthwhile stopping off point when passing from one region to the next.
Once notorious for being the scene of a bitter communist insurgency from the 1960’s to 1980’s, the Khao Kho Mountains have since returned to peace and tranquility. Offering some of the best scenic views in the province the area has many points of interest to keep you occupied, from waterfalls, viewpoints and mountain bike trails to war memorials, a Weapons Museum and even a Royal Palace built for the current King, but for many simply driving along stunning stretches of steep winding roads proves to be the highlight of any trip to the area.
For a fascinating glimpse into the provinces’ ancient past, head to Si Thep Historical Park, which contains the ruins of the ancient town of Si Thep, built during the height of the Khmer empire around 1,000 years ago.
For anyone suffering from Temple fatigue we recommend a visit to the unique Wat Pha Sorn Kaew. Loosely translated as ‘Temple on a high glass cliff’, the Wat, just a few years old, is set on a 830 metre peak with a breathtaking backdrop of rugged mountains, and is adorned with over 5 million colourful mosaic tiles. The entire site is a real feast for the senses, and what the Temple may lack in history it more than makes up for in beauty.
Phetchabun is a province teeming with tourist potential, yet remains by in large under the radar of most travelers. But for those willing to take the time to explore, the province is a treasure trove of rich cultural heritage, ancient history and stunning misty mountains, ready to welcome you with open arms and that famous Thai smile.

Phitsanulok - Thailand 2019
Phitsanulok, Kuzey Tayland'ın en büyük şehirlerinden biridir. Kuzeye giden yolların kavşağı, bu çeyrek yüzyıl boyunca krallığın başkentiydi. Bu görkemli geçmişin sadece birkaç izi kalmış. Birkaç duvar ve kötü korunmuş tapınaklar. Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat dışında burada herkesin Wat Yai (büyük tapınak) dediği yeri ziyaret etmek yapılacak en önemli şehir turu olur.. Genel olarak gezginler geceyi buradan 60 km uzaklıktaki Sukhothai yolunda geçirirler. Phitsanulok, trenle en yakın olan şehirdir. Nan Nehri'nin kenarı güzeldir ve Wat Ratburana gibi diğer tapınaklar geceleri güzelce aydınlatılır. Buddha Factory ve Garden Birds'ü ziyaret etmek ilginç olabilir. Araba ile geziyorsanız, tepelerden şehir dışına, özellikle de 12 numaralı otoyolda Lomsak'a doğru ilerleyin. Nehirleri ve şelaleleri keşfedeceksiniz. Delikli Rain Forest Spring'in küçük bungalovlarında öğle yemeği için kısa bir duraklama geziyi güzel hale getirir.
